| Gonzo has created a theatrical film version of Afro Samurai that will include new footage made just for the feature version. The show was shown on Spike TV in the US in January and on WOWOW in Japan in May. | I think most people on a whole expected too much of Afro Samurai as a series, Its basically a mindless violence and hack n slash 6 ep series. I pretty much gathered that from the lil blurbs I saw on the TV. As far as it was ment to go, as a hack n slash flic, I think it was great. Cant wait to see the movie. |

My expectations weren't even that high, and the show still didn't deliver. The only good point is the art, which is pretty snazzy. I doubt I'll even take the time to watch the movie though. |
