| Oh look, a topic from 2012! OT: 720 is usually enough for me if it's actually 720. If you compare same series on multiple streaming sites you will notice sometimes 720p is closer to 480p. Example: Fate/kaleid first season first ep on masterani and on KA. |
| Well, I'd always prefer to watch things in 1080p if possible but if I can't find it available in 1080p then eh ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 720 just looks perfectly fine. Going lower tends to irk me if it's available in higher res and if something is only available in 480 or lower then I'll look around to see if I can find it in higher res elsewhere. If not, though, then no issue settling for lower than 720. Though going lower than 480 tends to be an issue. So I'd prefer always 1080, but I guess 480 is the lowest before it becomes somewhat of an annoyance. |

| 1080p for my favorite anime (when I'm re-watching them) and 720p for the rest. I don't mind lower than that if I'm watching something that's airing and I don't like that much. |

| I hate when things wont play on my old ass led tv, it simply says format unsupported for 1080, and I cant tell the diff in 480 or 720 so either of those |
| Since my monitor outputs at 1440p, 1080p is a must. I usually watch anime in 720p when I don't have a choice. |
