I really enjoyed this episode. I feel like it could have been a 2 hour film and it would have been amazing. I find that happened a lot in Lupin III: Part I, but not so often now. Not that it's necessarily worse, just different. Great episode though.

Vengeance of everyone's grudge.

It's only episode 6 and I'm already getting sick of Zenigata. He was amusing in the first series, here he is just annoying.
The "suitcase opening and spreading out all the money" joke is getting very old too. And they used it twice here.
Overall, not a good episode.

Zenigata is used too much I think. Kinda pointless in this egyptian curse episode.

Favorite episode thus far, honestly the first one I actually really liked. I put the show on hold for a bit so my memories of the first four are kinda hazy (they weren't all that memorable to begin with, there was something with Nessie that was decent I think?) but through most of last episode I was definitely watching the time to see how much left I had. Not through this episode, and I think there's a few reasons for that.

Most prominently this episode relied heavier on the cast dynamics than the previous entries. The caper this time was a quick scene, though it still managed to be fun & over-the-top. I liked that the episode very quickly establishes a divide in the crew over it though, I just enjoy seeing these characters interact. And it was pretty nice watching as Fujiko transitions from "We are not returning it, Lupin wouldn't want that" to "Please return it, I want the old Lupin back". I also like how over-the-top the plot was, all the cooky supernatural stuff helped make Jigen "This is why I don't like cartoons" joke land because the episode was leaning so cartoony that it was plausible and Goemon clarification felt like an additional punchline to that. But yeah, it was good overall.

That said, I'm glad I'm not alone in this thread about Zenigata. I wasn't really a fan of him back in Part 1 either but his presence was sparse enough that it didn't really matter and some episodes made great (the one where they all visited him at plane . Every episode has been pretty bad, especially since they've yet to give him a role outside of screaming about Lupin. It just feels monotonous to have him in every episode, and I feel just removing him from an episode would be enough to add variety to the series.

But, I liked him here. To be honest, I thought the first scene was great. The idea that Zenigata went all the way to Israel on a hunch that Lupin was there when he was actually in Egypt is hilarious, where their is no one way flight. I honestly thought that was all we'd see of him. I'd almost prefer it if it was, since I think it'd be a really funny gag. Like, if we have to have him in every episode, just featuring a scene where he realizes he went to the wrong part of the world is pretty funny. But his showing up facilitated flying kite Lupin and the stuff with Fujiko at the hotel was fine.

Which one is heavier 1 kg cotton and 1 kg wad of bills?
Of course bills
They weight might be the same, the mass & gravity is not :P

Why did Goemon diving with only loincloth? xD
It's always either the money fall from its case or stolen by Fujiko
Never lucky

Aww straight tower of Pisa is boring, glad Zenigata sneezed xD

Nice episode. I'm not really superstitious, but I guess I wouldn't want to risk it like Goemon and Jigen. But Lupin and Fujiko paid them no heed, and stole that mask which resulted in Lupin getting cursed. I really liked the car chase in the desert, Fujiko really can drive well and Goemon's support was nice. I also liked to see the three of them worried about Lupin and doing what they could to help him.

It was pretty creepy though, Lupin wasn't himself for a while, and even when the mask was no longer there his shadow still had it. I wonder how terrified Fujiko must have felt seeing him like that. But I love how she went after Lupin in that valley, while Jigen and Goemon were returning the mask, to find him before Zenigata could arrest him like that.
