How do you enjoy objectively? Wouldn't that take the enjoyment out? Just saying...

I might have given a couple shows higher ratings than I probably should have because they included delectable bishies. Like Hetalia, Vampire Knight, Code Geass, maybe even Durarara (although that one was excellent either way).

Code Geass was a glorious trainwreck and I enjoyed Angel Beats! enough to ignore its plot holes.

On topic of lower-ranked anime, I really like Joshiraku even though it has a 7.2 rating.

One Outs, despite its lack of a well developed plot line, it still was very thrilling to watch and anticipate every episode.

I don't have anything drastic, but there's

Kamisama no Memochou
A-Channel
Shinryaku! Ika Musume

I don't know why, but I love these. I absoluately adore A-Channel, and I love Shinryaku! Ika Musume a lot more than I think I should. ^^

Kill me Baby - The entire anime was just cartoony school girls doing random stuff with not much of a plot in any form, yet I still found it very enjoyable.

Oh, so a guilty pleasure thread

Korean Zombie Desk Car
Baka to Test
As a child, I was told that society is a melting pot of talents; knowledge and experience combined to form important alloys that will contribute to mankind. When I got to highschool, however, I thought that it's more like a river in which the water represents our peers while we ourselves are the stones in the river. Constant erosion by mindless majority sheeping has made us lose our unique edge. After I hit the age of 18, I realized that I've been wrong all along. Society is no melting pot. Society is no river. Society is a person, a very skilled rapist, and he has fucked us all.

School Days. You'd think it was a poop stain in the banana hamock of the devil the way people talk about it on this site, but its in my top 10.

What OP is asking is if you enjoyed a show that you objectively shouldn't have. A show that had sub-par art, plot, character development, etc. Shows that generally get bad reviews.

I'll use Hoshizora e Kakeru Hashi as an example.
It's a standard school harem show that covers all of the necessary character tropes, provides enough boobage and panty shots to be satisfying, and the plot does well enough to provide a coherent story. The problem is there's nothing original about it, it's just another harem anime.
I gave it a 6, and I would consider that "enjoying it as I should have objectively."

UtaPri- I gave it an 8 even though there wasn't really much going on plot wise the guys were just lovable and I like Haruka even if her eyes freaked me out.

Code Geass R2-

Guilty Crown- I loved Shu and most of the cast, but I didn't know what the fuck was going on 98% of the time. Just mostly glorious eye candy and battles.

It's been said a few times, but I'm gonna say it anyways. Guilty crown was really enjoyable and it was very emotional near the end. It might have been me marthoning it with my friends and the awesome OST's, but either way I liked it a lot more than I thought I would.

It was pretty stupid and I thought of dropping it many times for this reason, but for some reason I just loved the romance part and I couldn't stop watching.

Blood-C, despite the last two episodes being the only good episodes, I really did enjoy it.

Also Elfen Leid and Seikon no Qwaser

For me, it was definitely Dokkoida!?.

I gave it a 6/10, yet I did really enjoy it.

What always scared was that it seems like a kid's show at first, until the episode dedicated to sister complexes.

Strongly agree. Series like that, Kampfer, Seikon no Qwaser, and a lot of other silly ecchi can just really hit the spot sometimes.
Harems don't exist in America. If one guy is constantly surrounded by beautiful girls, then he's probably the gay friend.

Definitely, for me, it would have to be Ben-To.

It was so ridiculously entertaining. The score breakdown wouldn't look so good and overall it's nothing more than an average series, but I can't help but kinda love it. Hoping for a second season.

Ben-To, as others have said, had nothing particularly special about it, but I really damn enjoyed that show and was upset it ended so quickly.

Lucky Star seems to get a lot of hate, and I don't know why. I avoided it for a few good years because of all the negativity surrounding it but when I finally got around to watching it, I absolutely adored it.

Fate/Stay Night also gets a lot of crap, and even I know it could have been better, but I just can't say no to Archer and his Engrish. Also, I learned that people die when they are killed.

Highschool of the Dead: this show is stupid has nothing but boobs and gore and I actually think it deserves a lower rating than what it has, but I still enjoyed the ride.
Yu-Gi-Oh (and GX): I Know it's a dumb merchandising show and it has tons of flaws that I acknowledge, but I still enjoyed it a lot. The episodes just fly by most of the time.

For my guilty pleasures, I have to second Needless and B Gata H Kei

As well as those, and I am sure some people may somehow find this to objectively good, Denpa teki na Kanojo. I found it to be one of the funniest anime I have seen just for how ridiculous the entire scenario is.

I personally have 3 that I love to re-watch over and over yet they were never rated top notch in any catagory.

Zero to Tsukaima as I love the character development in that series and Saito is cool.

Highschool DxD for the story I dont care about the over glorified fan service but the story is awesome.

And finally there is Rosario + Vampire ... yeah its a whimpy show but I like it , its easy on the eyes and the characters always make me laugh no mater how many time I watch it.

Hyouka xD. The mysteries are mediocre but somehow interesting, the characters though are great, except for Chi-chan who is your generic moe blob, high school setting which gets you tired cos you've seen it in almost every anime, but somehow i enjoy watching it.

My thoughts and feelings on anime regularly fall out of sync so I'll just list a few.
First off, Index I and II. Total Raildex fanboy, can't help myself. The novels and Railgun manga are much better, but still nothing miraculous.
Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi seems really charming to me. I probably didn't get enough fairytales as a kid.
Tasogare Otome x Amnesia's adaptations is all kinds of messed up, but it's perfectly up my alley.
Black Rock Shooter really shouldn't be my thing considering I don't care about the franchise and hate vocaloid, but the story was vague enough to keep me interested, the second world was really cool and I can even put up with 13-year olds if they're at least horribly unstable.
And finally, I don't think Baccano! is really quite the flawless masterpiece I feel it is.

Persona Trinity Soul
it was confusing, weird, doesn't live up to expectation, has slow pace, failed as P3's sequel, people who don't play the game might never understand it.
but i don't regret it. i was having so much fun watching it.
but it's in my favorite, because i couldn't forget it.
