who of you thinks the original cast (natsu and friends) will be left out of the story for one arc, just so that we'll keep wondering? or to introduce new main characters?

Maybe they all got transported to where Lucy's spirits go, although that doesn't really give a reason as to why 7 years would pass. I will admit, though, that other than at the very beginning of this arc I haven't been this excited for FT in a loooooooong time. They're definitely alive, though. It would make no sense to build up a cast all this time just to replace them.

new characters yes, but they won't kill of many of the main characters except maybe makarov as was brought up a page or 2 ago

Ok everyone's saying that it has to be romeo in the 7 year time skip.

Maybe it's him having traveled back in time to try and stop acknologia from striking them down?

their faces aren't hat different if you look at it closely.and he's zeref remeber? that could be part of his weird magic because remember he's like 500 years old or something and he looks like he's natsus age.
the last part im not sure, maybe he has a deeper connection with ft than meets the eye?

@ Fai and @majormalfunction and @anyone else who reads this lol Well I just thought of some interesting ideas

The girl on page 11(or 12) looks like lucy so that could be her mom who's "dead"(as others have pointed out) or it's the first ft master AND if it is the fact that she looks like lucy could mean that lucy has a deeper connection to fairy tail than she originally thought she did. Well maybe not originally cause at the beginning of fairy tail she was telling natsu about how great she thought ft was so her connection to the first master-if that's who that girl is- could be the reason why she adored fairy tail.

And as one of you said that if Lucy may not want to comeback cause she gets scared you think it could be because of the whole "truth" behind dragons and dragonslayers and her being scared for natsu because natsu could be and probably is the key dragon slayer since Igneel seems to be the main dragon after he called himself "the great Igneel" in front of Grandine a looong time ago in the manga. And if he dissappears I think him coming back will convince her.

And did any of you pick up on the fact that aconologia and the demons that hades summoned have the same design?

This could mean that zeref is a dragon slayer himself and acnologia is his dragon because hades uses the move from the "chapter 4 scripture 12 book of zeref" and the fact that zeref seems to know a lot about acnologia like his personality when he says the reason he doesn't use words is because he views humans as insects.

But anyways just my 2 cents..and a 1/2 :p

i all ready had the idea that the girl on page 11/12 was lucy's mother. also lucy not wanting to come back was what Fai and I had said :p
also about that last paragraph. someone mentioned it before, however the difference is magic style is completely different, however the end of the paragraph did make sense

After a few pages, I closed the window and tried to deny this chapter exists. It lasted for at least a few hours.
Does this mean the main characters are in their mid-twenties now? Argh.

I love how this manga doesn't dilly dally like with a bunch of bullshit like all the other shounens out there these days.
and wth with the black dragon? Did someone summon it or did it just fly around looking for a fight -_-
