| Our Creator hasn't logged in since April 22 and may or may not be returning. Unfortunately, he neglected to promote any of our seven club officers to admin status before logging off for (potentially) the last time. At the moment, the only problem this is causing is a missing title in our anime relations, so its certainly feasible to simply ignore this problem. On the other hand, if something more urgent later on should come up, it would be nice to already have an admin in place. In all likelihood all we need to do to solve this problem (if indeed you believe it is a problem) is to pm Xinil with our resolution to promote someone and that someone's name. With that in mind, i've started this thread to find out what the club in general thinks of the situation. i'll be letting the poll run for 2 weeks (ending July 27). please allow me to stress that this thread is not meant to determine who the new admin(s) will be. we'll have a separate thread for that if we should decide to carry through with this option. for those that are curious, i support the election of an admin. |

| Rather than deciding whether an admin or even more are necessary (I think it's pretty obvious that it will be very useful for the club management) I think it should be more question about whether this matter is urgent enough to contact Xinil with that or we should wait until more work that can be done only by a club admin will appear (in that time Kobra possibly might return and appoint the admins). Site administration usually has plenty of matters to take care of and the less additional work we create for Xinil the better so I would rather not to bother him until it's absolutely necessary. |

I'd rather bring it up now than later when/if it eventually becomes urgent enough. Ideally, I think there should be at least 2 active admins per club so there would be at least one left in charge if the other disappears due to unexpected circumstances. |
| I don't know how urgent an issue this is. I mean what can really happen? If people abuse the comments both myself and Yuunagi (as pretty much the only active officers at the moment :v) have the ability to delete comments. What else are we missing aside from the ability to add relations, edit the description and send those incredibly annoying mass-messages that everyone (I) hate so much :v Kobra will probably come back when he can. |
| It WOULD be nice to have a club admin, I believe we can survive without it. I mean, the only thing we are missing is the lack of anime relation to Origination 5.5, right? Other than that, there will be no other relations to add, and I believe the only real reason this topic was even brought up was that one reason. As Fox said, he and Yuunagi will be more than enough to deal with any really pressing matters (which I highly doubt there will be anyway), so I voted no. |
| Having an admin would help keep everything up to date and help keep other fans informed to the fullest. |
| mainly i worry about it because Aria is over now, so it'll take more effort to keep this club active. the ability to edit the club description can be very helpful in this regard as it allows the club administration to communicate on a broader scale with both current and (potentially) future members. also, if someone decides to go out of control on our forums, it would be nice if we had admins to deal with it instead of having to bring in one of the forum mods. for those who don't know ZinnKid said: i'm not sure if admins can appoint/remove officers either tho.Officers: Can Remove Comments Can Edit/Remove Pictures And Officers: Cannot Appoint/Remove Officers Cannot Remove Members Cannot Edit User Posts Cannot Add/Remove Relations Cannot Edit Club Details |
| I have suggestion. How about someone say something on Kobra profile (as a creator) about this condition, then wait him for respon. And wait until something more important than adding anime relations come up later to bring this issue again, then we might do something at that time. |
| Admins can and should be able to appiont others, since I was wrongly given admin rank instead of officer rank for a while in another club, so I have used the admin superpowers before. XD Regardless, since it is stated that Aria is indeed over, I doubt there will be any significant activity left in the club. If there really is a rampage of a spam poster, we can simply report him/her to higher authority and get him/her banned from the site altogether. |
| well not exactly an overwhelming mandate, but i'll assume that the people who actually care one way or the other voted. i'll make an election thread sometime tomorrow. |
