Anime you thought you won't like all that much, but ended up being one of the best things you ever saw
| Most anime which you don't expect much off are often surprisingly good. For me that would be Clannad and TTGL. But also Code geass and Haijme no hippo. |

| Toradora for me. I usually don't like romances at all I find them boring and I don't really relate to a lot of the characters or their problems. I'm not sure what exactly it was about Toradora but I thought it was great. |
| Bakemonogatari Thought it was some incest shit from what I heard about it, but no, just turns out to be one of the greatest anime in the past few years. |

| Psycho-Pass. FIrst three episode were not that good and I was thinking of dropping the show. Glad I didn't. |

| Two that I can think of right now: Code Geass. My thoughts before watching it: "ehh? But isn't this like a gundam anime? mecha and shit... how can this be any good?" Long story short, gave it a try and fell in love. Toradora! My initial thoughts: "slice of life romance drama... this thing is going to be boring as fuck.. geez should I even watch this?" Fast forward to me finishing it and a 10/10 anime for me. Just.. so .. good. |

| One recent one would be Hataraku Maou-Sama. Honestly, it's about the devil getting a part time job at McDonalds, how could anyone think that would be good? Went in expecting garbage, probably now one of my favorite anime. |

| The Clannad series; thought it was just going to be a sissy shoujo anime but ohgod was I wrong ;~; Kids on Slope; I actually hate the josei genre but this one was really good and the music was great |

| Cowboy Bebop - I think i originally thought that it was going to be a generic pew,pew laser scifi setting for some reason so i hadn't much hope of it. Wasn't anything like that all and i was hooked from episode 1 until the end. Howl's Moving Castle - I think this was what got me into anime. Before this is pretty much thought all anime is stuff like Dragon Ball Z but this movie really opened my eyes. And i guess that's pretty much it. I tend to be more open now day's and give pretty much anything that get's praised at least a try. |

| Natsume Yuujinchou: it was a bit boring at first but I couldn't stop watching and eventually I started to love it the more and more I watched. Shinsekai Yori: It was one of the strangest and interesting shows I've ever seen. It had a slow start and I was a bit hesitant with watching the infamous 8th episode but after that It just became amazing. |
| Clannad, really shocked me and went against my expectations. School Rumble, for being freaking hilarious. Not an anime, but I found the Evangelion manga exponentially better than the anime, much to my pleasant surprise. |

| Hataraku Maou-sama!. I thought it was gonna be your everyday SoL with a cliched romance plot, but it turned out to be an absolute beast of a comedy. Definitely the surprise of the season. | Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica I thought it was one of those generic magical girl crap you see those other characters watching in other Anime and i wanted to drop it but when i saw episode 3, oh boy... From there it was epic till the end. |

| mahou shoujo magica madoka i was annoyed with it up until the 9th episode which is 75% of the way through, but then... usagi drop it's unbelievably adorable spice and wolf all slice of life stuff yuriyuri, daily lives of high school boys, k-on, etc |

| Probably Bakuman. Was one of my first goes, or maybe was my first go along with Oreimo, to properly get into the SoL genre, and I must say, across the 3 seasons, absolutely fantastic. |

| Well , Clannad was a pain in the heart to watch for the first 11 episodes . After that as far as I got , atleast for the next 3 episodes , it was wonderful. |
