This series has good animation and sound. The characters are great as they are interesting and make you feel for them. I'm a sucker foe a great story so I think this is a winner.

There are only a few things that really stand out as annoying to me in this series. Beginning with the extremely slow pacing and freeze frame moments that slowed the story down. I fell asleep at least three nights in a row watching this series. It became a useful sleep aid at the end of the night or early morning in my case. The second thing that didn't translate well in my head was watching something supposed to be taking place in Britain while reading English and listening to Japanese. Understood that it's a Japanese production made for Japanese consumption. However for native English speaker it is a little weird at first. Almost like and alternate cartoon universe where people in England speak very good Japanese. The language thing is admittedly just a pet peeve though about languages matching cultural/geographic settings.

Still even with the slow pacing and stab yourself in the face repetitive depressing sound track, it worked. It captured the dry English sentimentality often displayed in many other British works. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it achieved full on Paddington Bear dry, but it definitely made a bold attempt at capturing a similar mood and feel.

Positive points for the attempt.

I'm on the fence I might vote yes on this one. Maybe.

you probably were picking up on this annoyance more because it was a slow show.
