| I understand ads are necessary for MAL's growth.. but seriously an ad in the middle of the anime DB page is kind of distracting. Well, there are tons of sites with even more "obtrusive" ads out there, but MAL... since the design is pretty much lot based on Facebook, which I very like because of its cleanness and simplicity... Sidebar, Top, and bottom placements are ok, but I'd prefer if it was not in-content. and of course, more anime/Japanese-culture-related(?) ones would be nice. :P |

| I understand the fact that you're using advertising, and don't particularly mind the advertising itself, but some of the adverts are rather annoying. The one of the left hand side is perfectly fine. No problems there. The one at the top of the news page is perfectly fine too. Same for the other long, rectangular ones on pages for searching for Clubs, Reviews and the like (although you can't click on that. And the Crave Online one flashes which is nasty ><) There doesn't seem to be one on top of the Blogs page which surprised me. The giant square one that appears in the middle of pages is horribly annoying. For the anime pages, would it maybe be possible to either stick it above the Details | Reviews | Recommendations (etc) 'menu' bit, or put it right at the bottom? Preferably as something rectangular? Maybe it would work as a slightly smaller square under the 'my info' part instead. I don't know really, I just know where it is at the moment (under the synopsis) it seems to break up the layout. Even if it has to stay where it is, something smaller and rectangular would look better on the page. Similarly for the one that appears on the panel page under news. If that could be rectangular-ised it would look better. |

| Overall bleh. I do not like ads even if they are related to the site, but I understand to a point why they are needed. It is that or start some sort of volunteer sponsorship where there are exart perts for donating money, which is the way a few sites I have been to have gone to afford the servers needed. Though in the end if the ads don't slow down the site, hold me on a page till they finish loading/there animation, pop up, pop up on first click of page, or take up the whole screen. I think I will get by, even if I am not happy about it. |

| I'm sorry but is there any way to move that square ad in the anime synopsis to a rectangle one under the tags? (I've don't know how these ad thingys work, I assume you choose the style?) Otherwise they're okay, I just have to get used to them. It'll be better when the ads are anime-related though. I just hope there aren't any annoying sound ones or flashing. :( |

| I'd figure it would appear sooner or later. Although, aesthetically speaking, the really do not fit well with the background and site itself. They really stand out more and take attention away from the site. Oh, and by the way, you really need to move the in-page anime ads (see Anime info pages) somewhere else. They looked terribly misplaced and again, take attention away from everything else there. |
