| Pretty awesome episode. I had the vague idea that Irene was gonna give her arm to Clare (yay for people spoiling me again...>_>), but it still chocked me when she cut it out. I felt sorry for her though.. since she was apparently killed by Rafaela without having a chance to put out a fight.. (though it seems Rafaela is stronger then her rank...?) and since she was one of the characters I liked most from the beginning. Ophelia Vs Clare round too was pretty awesome too. Irene's arm does wonders ^^...(although it's not all roses when using it), along with Clare's Yoki reading ability. I actually liked Ophelia better once she awakened... even felt pity for her in the end... (for the record: she should have had her hair untied since the beginning :P ) The new arc title seems promising, and seems well see some new claymores too, along with Clare's new outfit...? seems so from the last shot. Looking forward to it. edit: I forgot to mention.. there was a glimpse of some of the organization members near the end... I sure hope they'll turn out to be more than plot devices... |

| But Ophelia is beautiful! I still can't stop finding it funny as in the manga that she didn't realize she had awakened. I mean she is pretty.. Huge.. and.. pretty cute.. Even though she hate awakeneds etc. etc. etc. etc. she really should realize that she was one, especially when Clare suddenly is so small and her arms are like.. Claws. |
| I knew Clare had to get an arm somehow. Never expected it to come from Irene though. I know Ophelia explained the whole defensive/offensive factors in Claymores but I was still guessing she'd somehow learn a technique to regenerate one on her own. I can't say I really liked how the Clare/Ophelia fight went. Perhaps my expectations were too high. Ophelia was very accommodating with her death when she didn't have to be. I guess it was due to her regaining some sliver of humanity back when she realized she had become what she despised most. |

| That was indeed an awesome episode, lots of things happened. I started to like Ophelia as well, this show has some kick ass villains. It surprised me when Irene cut her arm off and gave it to Clare, I'm glad I didn't get spoiled on that one. Looking forward to more. |

| Great ep. Was a little surprised by how her training ended, but kind of knew that she wouldn't spend the rest of the series with only one arm... And that nr 5 looked interesting :) The Clare/Ophelia fight was just weird..., didn't really like it... |

| It's a good thing Irene didn't live long after she gave Clare her arm...she might have come up against a closed door and really regretted that decision. Anyway, Ophelia scares the crap out of me, so I'm glad she bit it. :) She's even more terrifying all calm and wistful than she is in her crazy psycho mode. Though I have to wonder, as she pointed out, why Clare didn't just go for the weak point first instead of wasting all that time. Ah, well. If I were a Claymore, things would be different, for sure. :P |

But 1) that's kinda stupid in a serious situation like that and 2) it's rather logical since she acts more like Clare if she doesn't think that far everytim,e in a moment like that (she does it though, once in a while). |

| I really loved this episode. While reading the manga I was not a fan of Ophelia at all. However, after seeing this episode I feel that I misjudged Ophelia. Deep down were her feelings of her brother being killed by Priscilla, but she hid them away... unlike Clare who always remembered Teresa's death. In the end, she died as a human and started to remember the things precious to her. She died as any Claymore wanted to die. It's amazing how Clare now has something of Teresa, Irene, and Ophelia to carry on with her. It's like she's destined to live on until she meets Priscilla, where she will either meet her end or come out victorious. The major question I have from this episode is whether Irene is dead... sure Clare's new arm has some sort of reaction, but it's hard to draw the conclusion that she did die. It something hasn't been answered in the manga, so don't worry this is not a spoiler. Anyway, next ep looks promising. New arc, new Claymore(s) and... Don't worry, the spoiler is only 6 words. Somebody's name. |

| Pretty good episode. It was pretty neat to see Irene give Clare her arm. And it was pretty cool to see Rafaela meet up with Irene. As for the fight between Clare and Ophelia, i thought it was okay, nothing too exciting. But seeing Clare kickass was cool. Seems like the next arc starts next week, looking forward to it. |

| I revisited the episode 8 thread and found where I had said Teresa wasted her opportunity to kill Priscilla. After thinking about the conversation Clare had with Irene in this episode, I feel that I have to retract that comment. In the end, Irene said that Teresa was content when she died... and a bunch of other things. It's better to pass away being happy than to have regrets. |

| Ha! Clare Champloo! All in all, a good way to wrap up this arc. I didn't feel sorry for Ophelia though. In a way, she got what she deserved and got what she wanted. Looking forward to Clare showing some real strength and tenacity instead of just glimpses of potential. Things were getting a bit stale and I was ready to move on. |

| once Irene had brought up the fact that they were missing alternate arms, it rather clicked with me that Clare would somehow end up with her arm... however, i didn't really expect her to just cut it off, I thought someone from the organization would come to kill her (which they did), only Clare would be there, and extract the arm from the body, or something strange like that. Anyway... even though I detested Ophelia,towards the end there.... I definitely started to feel kind of bad for her. But again, great episode. This series continues to live up to and surpass expectations. |
