As usual, another morally grey twist to this week’s murder case. Shiho did nothing wrong imo. The scumbag Ishiguro deserved everything he got. I’ll never criticise a mother for defending her child. Full stop.

A drowning case without water? Welcome back Ameku MD. Not quite as interesting a twist as we got in Ameku, but it’s pretty funny we get similar cases in back to back seasons. I love how Reiko isn’t even trying to look cool anymore and just asks Kageyama to solve cases now ๐Ÿ˜ญ before she used to at least kinda act like she had the answer and just wanted to hear kageyama opinion, now it’s just “solve this for me”. We stan an efficient queen

I’m glad Shiho ended up being a good person and great mother. The look of pure disappointment on Reiko face at the idea of her idol being a fraud hurt me.. I don’t think all murders are equal tho. You come at my son being vindictive and potentially getting him deported/arrested like that, I’m probably doing the same as Shiho. I’m sure the courts will take that into consideration and give her a lighter sentence.

Yea, Ishiguro was down bad and wanted to take care of his kid but he damn near could’ve just asked Shiho for the money. She’d probably have given it to him.

I’m really curious what Reiko meant by she wouldn’t be here without that show though?! Was she suicidal as a kid?? That got pretty dark, don’t leave me there!!

It was a little surprising that Shiho's husband was the one who cheated, and what was more surprising was how cool she was with it.

I got a little more irritated with Kyouichirou for his incompetence and blabbering mouth. I have to give it to Kageyama for saying exactly what I was thinking, like how can these detectives be so incompetent, and yes, the part where he compared Reiko to be on the same level as Kyouichirou.

The way reporter Ishiguro was making enemies left and right, something like this was coming sooner or later. His greed knows no bounds. The way he was trying to make money by ruining not just Shiho's husband's affair but also her secret about a past relationship, I can guess why Ishiguro was paying child support now.

The things parents do for their kids. This was quite a complex case, with a simple "solution"

Unfortunately, I can't take a pic of Kageyama pissing off Hosho. But she did look a bit like the inspector during that time, haha!

What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway).

And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea).

Best episode so far.The culprit had a rational reason to cause the murder this time around.Touching to see how everything connected especially personally affecting Hosho and gave more background to her. Also really glad that the inspector had a lot of it right.

This is a pretty good show, but I hope we get a case where Hosho solves the murder without Kageyama's help. At present, she comes off as kind of incompetent.

Well, this trash was not even a human ,corrupt journalist and blackmailer so he died deservedly, and Reiko's words give as always hypocrisy, but this is a common problem of such heroes.

Kazamatsuri was ACTUALLY RIGHT FOR ONCE?!๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿคฏ

And also Kageyama once again giving Hosho a bad time calling her clueless๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

this was also bittersweet since Hosho looked up to Shaketopia which I can relate to growing up with Power rangers growing up with them only to find out the power ranger actors do something bad later in life๐Ÿ˜ญ

From Moron to Absurd to Clueless the Insults don’t stop coming๐Ÿ˜‚

I also was like “Kazamatsuri was RIGHT FOR ONCE?!?!” When Kageyama broke the details down for her.

The "It has to be snappier." And everyone going "eh?", "eh?" "eh?" Was hilarious.

Totally feel like Reiko is developing a crush on kazamatsuri since he saved her last episode.

a bit tired of these glaringly obvious deductions. a minor application common sense in this mystery anime kinda just takes out the all the "mystery" of the cases. if i had to guess the target demographic for this series is highly likely to be females aged 12-16 or late middle to early high school. ironically there is another series out this anime season with the same demographic, it always perplexed me why studios and networks consistently choose to air similar to identical series in the same yearly quarter. is it following social market trends, studio/network competition, or something else entirely? anyone in the industry know?

In the end Leo will get immigration fraud or not doesn't depend on who his real parents are, but who's the current POTUS.

This is probably the strongest episode, yet I'm left just slightly disappointed overall. My expectations were likely unrealistic, but Madhouse's involvement created the illusion of a potential classic—I'm into the premise, characters, and setting.

That being said, Miyano Mamoru and Kana Hanazawa's performances are hilariously captivating. I love Houshou and Kazamatsuri's chemistry, and while it's been overplayed, I still madly enjoy their scenes together. I also have to say that Kazamatsuri's character archetype is my guilty pleasure—I'm drawn to his theatrics and flamboyance. Oh—and Miyano being his VA makes it enthrallingly tantalizing.
I also laugh at Kageyama's sass toward Houshou every single time. I know it's coming, but the anticipation makes it that much better. Their dynamic is also something I look forward to.

There's definitely some wasted potential, but it's still a pleasant time.

The "affair" between Shiho and her husband Satoshi against the blackmailing of the freelance journalist of Ishiguro, they're both the ones truly in danger, but not the ones directed at his death. And a visit to his apartment only proves beyond without a shadow of a doubt that the murder started in his house, where someone drowned him and cast his body outside to make it look like a case of drowning. Too bad that the timings don't quite align, so that theory is out. However, the evidence of a secret child, that definitely has some base to it, especially when it's one that involves a case of alibi trickery.

Once again, Kageyama is brought to ascertain the case at hand, though this time he gives credit to Kazamatsuri for getting the foundation right to develop the murder story around Ishiguro. Yet, the one thing that surrounded the crime scene that involves the cherry blossom tree that when driven on a car, the petals should come off, but yet it was displaced to make it look like the alibi was proven. Thus, the alibi of Shiho was disproven making her the criminal in this case, that it did not just have the affair within it, but what seems like a case of stalking that she had enough to finally eliminate him, as well as another rising star of Leo Williams, the secret child that she had when she was in America.

Indeed, to Shiho, she's protecting the child that technically was irrelevant to her against someone who wants to make it rich, and the downfall of Ishiguro, IMO feels deserved even when the case is all said and done with the unfortunate end of murder.

One of the rare cases of interest.

Glad to see this case was much more interesting than the other one. The fact that Shiho gave up of her career and liberty to protect her son (that was the actor they were talking about in the last episode) was really touching, and something that a mother would really do, even if she didn't want to admit it. Even if she wasn't able to follow her son's life, it's clear she really loved him, and he also admired her a lot. It's sad that Ishiguro had to ruin everything, and destroy their life (even if he was having his own problems)...

Also, the end of the episode hinted at some backstory on Reiko's part, so I'm really interesting to see that! They did that once in episode 2, and never touched on that after it, but I always felt like Reiko's past wasn't that happy, as it seems she spent her childhood alone. So I'm really curious how they will develop it!

I enjoyed how they showed how hard it was for Reiko to discover a different face from her hero (and we can see that Shiho was the one that kept her company when she was little), and even worse, have to arrest her. So I'm glad that Reiko was able to discover the truth, and that Shiho was in fact, only protecting her son. This way she can keep her "hero" image of Shiho.

Overall, a really good case, and it seems we only have 3 episodes to go, which means only 2 more cases! I hope they can be as strong as this one, or like the Vtuber one! And I also hope they can develop a bit more the characters, Kageyama included.

Not just only that, I think Ishiguro's family will also have to pay the price, Ishiguro had crossed the line, and his enemies will take advantage, his death wasn't enough, but his wife and daughter will be next, just like he blackmailed the couple, in return, his family will be targeted by loan sharks because of the overdue debt notice.

A karma for crossing the line for Ishiguro, his family will targeted by loan sharks and will never leave them in peace, just like he won't leave the couple in peace, this time his family should pay the price.

Either I have it wrong or the author does. If the mother ran off to the US to have a baby, then the child born on US soil will automatically get a citizenship. Why would it be "immigration fraud" if his mother was Japanese instead of American?

Maybe that's how it is in Japan?
