| Well, looks like whoever predicted Astro Bot as GOTY winner were right on the mark. Congrats to Atlus for snagging multiple awards for Metaphor: ReFantazio, including Best RPG. Goes to show how far companies like Bioware have fallen when their embarrassment of a game couldn't win the only award it was nominated. |

| Eh...I knew it'd either be Wukong or Astro Bot. Elden Ring dlc shouldn't have even been there to begin with. I didn't really care about the awards aspect of it anyways. I cared more about the new reveals. Sadly the only thing that really caught my eye was a new Okami. And maybe Onimusha. Never played the older games. The Tekken announcement also caught my eye, but not really for the best reasons...I had fun with Noctis last time, and I'd probably have fun with Clive too, but these guys do not fit in with Tekken that well. Also just kinda feels like another middle finger to anyone hoping for Tifa. Personally I would have wanted Majima to promote his new game, but the Yakuza guy is dead set on his characters not fighting women in any context, apparently. |
| ^ Balatro is so fun i love it. Glad its theme got to be played in the orchestra too that was amazing I'm just glad Wukong didn't win lol. The elden ring announcement has me a bit conflicted but i am overall optimistic |

| Honestly I just wanted the Elden Ring DLC to win for the funny, would of been so silly that a DLC won game of the year. Astrobot I've never played but that and Wukong were my real picks of what would win goty. |

| Was pretty surprised by astrobot taking the goty, i thought it would've been a toss up between rebirth and metaphor with wukong being the surprise pick. but it makes sense since similar to baldur's gate 3 last year, it's kinda about the message as well. astrobot is the game that kinda needed to win to show the industry that not every game has to be a AAAA 100mil+ budget game to be successful and there are other genres like platformers that has an audience who will show up if the game is good. elden ring dlc being there really feels like a marketing move now lol. overall it was a really good show, paced way better than last few game awards. |

| Metaphor: ReFantazio winning three awards was a pleasant surprise (all of which well-deserved), FF7 Rebirth being robbed of Best Game Direction by Astro Bot was not; but I'm fine with Metaphor snatching Best RPG from it even if I think Rebirth deserved it a little more (and I wanted one of those two winning GotY as well). At least Rebirth won Best Score and Music as it should. And you just know Stellar Blade was snubbed by that 90% jury vote lol. I was half-expecting Black Myth Wukong to lose GotY for the same reason. Best part about the awards was watching BMW and Balatro stonewalling all the shilled gachagarbage from winning a single award. A win for actual video games.  |
| Happy for Astro Bot and Helldivers II devs. I still need to get around to playing several games(FFVII: Rebirth and Metaphor: ReFantazio). Both who I bought when they released. I just have not gotten around to them but at least one will likely be started by January. I was stoked about Kamiya making a Okami sequel and a new Onimusha being announced. Capcom delivered on the announcements. There was some pretty good game announcements that grabbed me in general. Only thing that was missing maybe for me was that next cool looking JRPG announcement. |

| @Rndmguypassingby considering how the Dev is acting i am actually glad they lost talk about a sore loser. yikes. also having your fans review bomb BG3 just because the guy who had to read the results of the GOTY was the BG3 dev is a level of petty and misdirected anger I can't even comprehend. also the level of egotism by having your GOTY speech prepared 2 years before your game is even out? if i poke the dev with a needle will there head pop from how swollen it is? | At the end of the day, game awards and award shows are a complete vanity project. Why is FF7 Rebirth even mentioned when most Japan has no interest in playing that soft reboot? Having zero interest in playing on home consoles with zero backwards compatibility while collecting dust all day. They got something to say too. The people running these game awards play too much AAA. Not doing enough research and wasting time. Typical paid shills! Ragnarok Online should be awarded best ongoing game of all time. Can't even think hard enough about how that game and many other are succeeding. Year of the Dragon's game award literally laid an egg just as much or more than that last Grammy award show. Are AAA games the best they can come up with for giving reception? They must be from another planet. Planet of the dorks, that is! Best performance-wise, I don't even know who those people are. Luke what? Brianna who? What the hell kind of vanity project is this? |
