Do you want more or not? People can only work so fast and if they work too hard, you won't get any more manga at all.

I guess mangakas don't deserve a healthy work/life balance or time off when they are sick. Oh well, what can we do

@memexxpert_ then take his place if you find it annoying come back after you experienced a year in his life then maybe you find it less annoying.

do people have empathy anymore? and don't say "well it's his job" or "he shouldn't be a mangaka if he can't keep up with demand/expectations". this kind of attitude is why people are zombies. lifeless husks of what they once use to be because others treat them less than a human with actual emotions and more like an imaginary inconvenience that's stopping them from enjoying life.

it's sickening.

i prefer waiting long enough but the mangaka still in good health, working with better mood so that we know that he will finished the manga nicely.

Lol you know I’m right I get taking breaks for health but this author does it so excessively. Correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve never actually seen a post that mentions that the author is suffer from any illness. Last I remember he posted on X that he was in the UK.

he doesn't need to suffer from an illness to justify breaks. don't you ever get tired? or worm out? breaks are good for everyone regardless of underlying health issues.

We can't keep making excuses. Most weekly/biweekly series have consistent full 19+ page chapters with plot/character progression.

Spy family does almost nothing (short/filler chapters) when it does drop and also goes on breaks frequently. We can avoid talking about this issue as long as we want, but it will not go away. Stop blowing over this weak release schedule. Especially not for how popular this series is

Respectfully, Endo scammed us all.

@babajeeds Spy x Family from the start was a work Endo Sensei was going to make slowly. He's been following his own schedule from the start. If its too slow for you, you do know you don't have to read it, right?

Lots of mangaka take breaks regardless of how popular their work is and some need more than others. There's nothing wrong with that. If you seriously think someone needs to work nonstop, I sincerely hope you don't overwork yourself. If you don't overwork yourself, good! Then you shouldn't expect others to work themselves harder than you do yourself.

Either way, please just have some empathy.

How much Spy Family merch do you have? Look, I totally understand the need for breaks, but if Endo wants to keep up the pace he's been going, then he should just change to monthly. It can be slow, that's not the biggest issue.

Today is December 9th, and the most recent chapter was October 27th, and the next chapter will release late December. Meaning it's been about 2 months since the last chapter. If that chapter comes out and its about Damian's friends or Franky I don't want to hear it.

I'm telling you, most weekly/biweeklys (Spy is supposed to be biweekly) have a normal release schedule and STILL give themselves breaks every now and then. We CANNOT keep up this double standard, it's outrageous. People need to start speaking up about this more

I respect a mangaka's health and yet I am inclined to agree here. The rate we are getting chapter releases combined with no plot progression in ages is actually horrible.

slow releases are already annoying as it is but i don't mind too much as long as it's still interesting when it comes back, SxF stopped doing that a while ago though. feels like it's going in circles and atp i stopped caring about the cast that i was fond of at the start.

I spent 30 minutes typing up my most eloquent response and then one mis-swipe on my phone deleted the whole thing, so I’m announcing an indefinite hiatus on my comment. Thank you for your patience and support. 🙏

Guess mangaka are your personal slaves who don't deserve breaks or human working conditions they exist just to satisfly you. They are not allowed to relax have a life outside the manga or just take a break to even think of the plot ahead.
