Amongst mangaka Etorouji Shiono's many works, his completed series of Übel Blatt (evil blade in German) is pretty much reminiscent of Daiki Kobayashi's Ragna Crimson in its dark fantasy element.

The 14 warriors which were downed to just 7 Heroes, the tale of the town of Wischtech with executions across the board, and one elf attempting to save another from probable execution, the town they're in is merciless if they don't get anywhere. And even though he and the lil' elf named Peepi escape unscathed from the great monk Rascheb, their faith is tested when the remnants come after them, prompting the elf to attack them for defense. The Little Hero of Köinzell, acknowledged by the adult, Wied, that he saved both elves, sets off a chain of events from the latter's help to find the smuggler related.

The problem with the warrior monks raiding Altea's small pub housing orphans, and both Koinzell and Wied get to work pushing back the offense led by the same monk that spared them, with the Monastery's reputation on the line. Not to mention the secret underground city escape route that has strong golems against their way, without Koinzell, Wied and the others stand no chance of survival, only when Koinzell awakens in a moonlight night...only to find one of the Seven Heroes awaiting him to duel battle.

A decent showing for a promising dark fantasy series, with subtle animation by the collab production of Satelight and Staple Entertainment.

Complicated may be its story, setting and plot, but its revenge story is one that will keep you coming back for more.

@KANLen09
Looks like they skipped volume 0 of the manga if what you say is true. Don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing or they’re moving it somewhere else. Anything to note with the overall production? (Ex..sound, animation, art, pacing and direction)

@Ripperdoc

Yeah, well, I would say it goes beyond that.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

Not a fan of rape scenes. By fanservice I meant classic ecchi setups, scenes, panty shots, boobs flapping around. Basically Highschool DxD fanservice.
