| I haven't seen the last episode yet, but I don't really think this anime contains too many fan service. It has some moments ofc, but there aren't enough scenes to consider it as a a fan service anime. |

There honestly isn't even that much fan service, and when there is, it's done really well! So I'm not sure what there is to complain about? For one, Yuki waking up her brother like that was so iconic. And then the Alya scenes at the water fountain, and at the clothing store... immaculate tbh. β‘ Alya is too cute fr, and that's a good thing! Everyone’s tastes are different. This anime is very popular and it’s responding to fan community desires. All the characters are amazing and a bit dramatic. Yuki, Alya and Masha are the queens of this show! π

| To be honest, it feels like the anime didn't commit with anything and just went with a mix of elements that could work for the story. They have the fan-service/silly things route, they could be focusing on the Russian gimmick with straightforward rom-com elements, there's also Alya's leadership/collaboration issue, and then there's the student council plotline. Maybe the story would have less potential if the anime drops some of these points, but at least there would be some sort of progression, either on the romance or the plot side. But we're already this late into the season and the show has yet to leave me with 1 memorable moment. Just a bunch of somewhat interesting plot points that might one day come to fruition. |

To be honest, it feels like the anime didn't commit with anything and just went with a mix of elements that could work for the story. They have the fan-service/silly things route, they could be focusing on the Russian gimmick with straightforward rom-com elements, there's also Alya's leadership/collaboration issue, and then there's the student council plotline.
Maybe the story would have less potential if the anime drops some of these points, but at least there would be some sort of progression, either on the romance or the plot side. But we're already this late into the season and the show has yet to leave me with 1 memorable moment. Just a bunch of somewhat interesting plot points that might one day come to fruition.

Fan service is cool if it’s done properly, but I’ve noticed in the anime there’s a lot of instances where the fan service is misplaced and only exists to break the flow of the plot. Take the start of episode 8–the hypnosis scene for example, there was absolutely no point to it and it really just felt forced lmao. It’s not about how prevalent it is, just how and why it’s placed. Nonetheless, I’ll still be watching the show since it has a lot of potential, and I hear it gets better in the light novel. |
