i dont think it'll reach demon slayer, jjk, or csm levels, but it'll probably sit around fire force or dr stone levels of popularity.

It does everything that it should do well. The action is well choreographed, the characters are interesting, and the plot keeps you engaged.

It has been hitting the bullseye in every aspect so far, whether it be soundtracks, animation, character development, storytelling, action, or humour. I’m pretty sure it’s also gonna get much more emotional and serious as the story builds up. What else is needed for peak entertainment? 😆

The word peak has lost it's meaning. This is the most average level writing shounen I have ever seen. It's like the author was not even trying while making it. But since the art and fight scenes are well drawn, it sells well.

Why must this generation run every "new" term into the ground. Peak should be reserved the absolute best of the best. There is not a new "peak" anime every season. Kaiju is great but it's not greatest ever material.

Cmon, the writing isn't that bad. It's just a lot of the side characters are sort of bland.

How the hell do you talk? "Peak anime"? What should that mean? If you're watching it and you're liking it why should it matter to you of the people are liking it or how many people say it's the best in the world or how many people doesn't like it?

Not sure about peak, but it's definitely better than the latest seasons of Jujutsu Kaisen, and Demon Slayer. As they've both taken a step back in quality in the past year.

No. So far it has just been a well executed run of the mill shonen, but it really doesn't do anything different or special from most anime it's just an extremely well done one. Similar to Demon Slayer. It's a fun easy watch but doesn't really explore any themes, ideas or much of anything in any meaningful way. It's like watching a Fast and the Furious film. Doesn't have to be anything more than that though and I'm enjoying it.

Honestly? While it is nothing amazing, I like it. The idea of a seemingly washed up 32 year old man pursuing his dream again is uplifting, and probably one of the better reasons for battle shounens to exist. While he is immature for a person of his age, there are plenty of people who are still childish at 32. While it does get in the way of the story and does detract from his character at times, it is a bit relatable. After all, how many people have not fully figured out their lives at age 32?

I think it'll have its fanbase (More than it already does), just not on the level oif Demon Slayer, which is all fairness is not peak either except for animation.

I do agree with you but generally if you like something, don't you want it to get the recognition it deserves / people liking it.

It's good to see that something you like get the same recognition to other people, but that's just an accessory, if other people don't like it I don't care. Plus I really don't like this story of peak fiction or peak character, it really ruins the experience to other people, it's like watching children fighting to force others to get their favorite story or character to get the recognition they think it deserves

and true I don't even bother with people who force people to like the stuff they like, I mean sure I'm open to recommendations but forcing ehhh that's too much

Well so far it's between 7 and an 8 but to be frankly it's a 7.75 show so far, if generously an 8 mainly because I do like the action a lot or maybe the action aspect of Kaijuu no.8 is an 8.5 even if the story ain't that interesting but maybe the ending of this first season of kaijuu no.8 might change my mind but let's see how that will turn out soon.
