Its when the series at its most entertaining and hype and contrary to popular belief, aot is a series thats more prioritizes entertainment than some deep or thematically complex writing and thus s3 has the least plot holes or narrative issues out of all 4 seasons.

honestly I think the final season part 1 is more good than season 3 part 2 not because the mappa animate it beacuse of storyline and plot of season 4

Imo, it’s the culmination of all the things that were built up from the beginning of the show. We learn the secrets from Eren’s basement. We get massive expansions of the lore behind the walls and the titans. We get a huge and emotional showdown between Eren and the people that turned his life upside down. We get the climax and finale in the story of Erwin, who is one of the most beloved characters in the series.There’s also the fact that this arc sets the scene for the final season and the pandemonium that would come with it. It just has an end-of-the-series feel to it, almost like season 4 is a whole new show rather than just a continuation. I love season 4, but it definitely starts to take on a different tone and themes when compared with 1-3.

I was not that into anime when season 3 part 2 aired, but oh boy even I back then got to know the hype surrounding it and when I finally watched it, jeez. That storyline was aot at its best imo.

Characters, plot, animation, and direction were all so damn good.

I don’t pay attention to MAL ratings.

My favourite part of Attack On Titan is probably S3P1, when the kidnappers grabbed Armin’s chest and describe it as tough. XD

I don’t really enjoy S3P2 and Final Season. I fell asleep watching those seasons~

It's indeed a very good series but fandom tend to exaggerate too much (I'm talking about the animated series). It has great music, the action scenes are well made (in most of the cases) and the story is really really good, but that is not a credit to the series but to Isayama.
If you ask me, there are other series who are worth to stand in the top ten, but it's not like SNK doesn't merit to get high scores.

Last one studio wit did, mappas animation wasnt as hype.
And its 2,5 seasons of buildups payoff. I still think 3rd season p1 and p2 are 10/10, rest is bit lower.

Honestly i think its deserved

@_otaku_man00 I do believe AOT played a big role in bringing more gore in modern shonen anime.

It’s the climax. The big mystery behind the world is brought to light, and it surpasses expectations. Audiences are more invested in the outcome of the battle because of the development of characters and the plot.

And there are just several moments that knock it out of the park. Erwin’s speech and charge, Levi’s decimation of the Beast Titan, Armin’s sacrifice, the decision of who to use the Titan serum on, the ceremony when the heroes are recognized, the ocean scene, the scene with Owl’s introduction. It’s all amazing.

Because not only the reveals some of great plots and aspects of the story, the sequence of events were amazingly written.

In the manga, I'd say the Marley arc was the best one but in anime this season just have better music, direction, style and all. This is someone who rated both seasons a 10 btw
