| Another week where I thought "how will Snack Basue keep things fresh and new with the same characters and the same setting yet again for the 8th time, this time?" And wow, the Truman Show-esque layer they just added now will create a new dimension for gags and storylines, awesome. |

| The references are getting too out of hand for me understand lmao. sad for being uncultured... Only knew Sephiroth from the villains part. And I feel I was spoiled for some statements of the others, which makes it even more funnier somehow. Begging to see Basue-mama singing Rap songs in English after that last scene lol +the reference to Oshi no Ko's Idol lyrics, this is Gintama level of "How are they getting away with these" |

| That bash before being bashed part was quite cocky to say the least. By the way, in the comic the Neko Team cats are named after animation directors (Tomino, Hayao, Anno and Shinkai). |
| Finally, an intentional reference to TMNT, in the form of cats. Otherwise, an enemy commander team rounding up the entire bar, Akemi is blowing the entire portion out of the water, and it's all affiliated to the main character in one way or another. ..except for the long-haired guy, whom is absolutely Last Boss material. That is until the main character comes in...liking like a Dragon Ball degenerate lols. No hard feelings. Tatsu wanting to go to the amusement park to embrace his inner child, he wants Akemi to go with him, but it'll be seen as a date. And 3 dudes...would be fun. Morita left with Kosame to tend the bar alone, both Akemi and Mama Basue watching from CCTV and making their own commentary, it defintely feels like the Truman Show. Both looking at Kosame's conversation decisions, and Morita responds back like his usual, both aimed at music...and also going nowhere but somewhere as well. And both Akemi and Mama Basue wanting a song from The Carpenters, clearly, we can't cause of copyright issues. Once again, Kosame foreshadowed both Akemi and Morita singing a duet, but since Kosame didn't know much, she chooses a song comfortable to her range. Probably the most "overseas" episode thus far. |
