let me guess you think the Hobbit-parts of LOTR are BL too? You people need to go outside and actually touch grass, make human connections etc.

To actually counter your point, the studio who makes Overtake is notorious for making yaoi and yuri content. They made Bloom Into You which is a popular yuri and Idolish which is a BL idol anime. So being completely real I don’t think it’s out of the cards.

@IAmVento That's not being real, but making assumptions based on unrelated circumstances. Studio is not the one who makes decisions on the script, the anime you named were made by different staff, Bloom Into You is a manga adaptation, and Idolish is based on a game. (And 2 examples is far from being notorious, it's not a Blue Lynx, for instance.) Overtake is completely original, and while yes, it can go in any direction however those who write the script decide, but so far BL was not clearly insinuated. Like, at all? And I'm saying this as someone who enjoys BL and shipping, and wouldn't actually mind it. But being real, from what we've seen so far, this story is about trauma and finding a way to overcome it, where two unlikely people got to connect and understand each other. Making it solely about BL is a huge leap supported only by wishful thinking.

Think about it. There is no main villain or antagonist at all. It’s basically man vs self for the most part. The plot seems to be lacking a way to conclude seeing as the photographer can take photos of people again. Call me a conspiracy theorist but I’d say the yaoi ending is possible

@IAmVento I thought it's pretty obvious... that the most likely way to conclude this story is for Haruka to win and for Kyouka to take a picture of him standing on a podium, just as promised. There are other characters as well we haven't seen development for yet (two racers from the other team). No one has to be a villain or antagonist to have a conclusive story, it's just life.

(As a side note, I suggest watching Atarashii Joushi wa Do Tennen to see how 'BL clearly insinuated' really looks like in a non-BL story.)

They need to take up 3 more episodes of content and I doubt it’s actually gonna be racing. Also come on, they went on a date and they even teased a hand hold scene. You’re in denial

These messages are so funny because you'd know most people would ship them if it was man/woman combo lol

Pretty fantastic episode loved the acoustic instrumental version of Tailwind from our vtuber Kanae (eba and hotaru) playing in the backstory portion also the careful use of music in scenes was highlighted well this episode, so many parts with silence.

The photographer perspective vs the human emotion perspective of taking photos of tragic moments was well examined here and I like Kou chan viewpoint as well as the viewpoint of the grandfather and both aligned with why it should be published.

Think it was slightly unclear why Kou chan couldn't see the grandfather for this many years but it's an incredibly minor concern

I cried, just beautiful episode.

@IAmVento whoah 2 dudes eating lunch together, having meaningful conversations and doing stuff together? must be BL, clearly.

honestly, how often do you interact with other men in real life, and how do you interact with them that you think this is "clearly insinuated" BL holy shit lmao

That last episode was really, really sad but the story is incredible. Loved it

The backstory was so emotional and I loved the background music! So far the anime was good, but hasn't done anything remarkable for me. This episode, however, is one I will remember!

Just because people care about each other doesn't mean they are in love. Can we not forget that other forms of relationships exist, not just romance?

I agree with your point but I dont think the authors agree with you. That was clearly insinuated BL
@IAmVento I think if they really wanted to go that route, Kouya and Haruka would be a lot closer in age. And the former wouldn't have an ex-wife (even though some BLs do that ^^)

That was definitely harsh with the drama with the Tsunami backstory and the death of the old man now... but Madoka is back at least

I was expecting this anime to have some drama (I look at the tags of course) but I wasn’t expecting it to be this heavy or well done.

Stunning episode.

I thought this was a racing anime, but it had a lot more profound things to say about photography and journalism.

But then I thought about it a bit more. This is turning out to be an excellent drama anime, about why people keep doing what they love, even if they make mistakes, or get hurt doing it.

That was a heavy episode, and it ended beautifully. We get to learn the context of Kouya's controversial picture and why he decided to publish it.

So the picture carries a purpose to display the horrifying nature of natural disasters.

Kouya got a chance to see Momo's smiling face again thanks to Shouzou-san.
