what's up with the low rating?

Was checking my list and saw this on 6.6 rating? been a while since I last watched this but surely this anime doesn't deserve this low ass rating.

i have seen this anime and was quite shocked at the abysmal ration for such a cool show, so over time i just stopped looking at the ratings and continued to watch stuff based on my own impression !

well makes perfect sense to me.. it's a show about candies that most have us have never seen or never will so it's hard to get excited at all. I, like many men of culture just really dug hotaru; hot, little weird, maybe could be flirting and maybe not flirting as there seems to only be a gobstopper for a brain... and literally the only intriguing character dipped out for half of the second season. not sure what it has currently but a low 7 high/mid 6 seems pretty fair

I doubt your average female viewer of this seen anything they like. Series that only cater to 1 sex usually review very poorly ie most ecchi or josei.
