am I only one who think that horimiya piece is more wholesome then S1?I am not saying  that S2 is better then  S1. story wise S1 is better, they should have adapted in the way it is in manga and completed whole series in one season of 24-25 ep.

Nah you’re not the only one I love both series but this would have been so much better in a single 24 ep season

Naturally, there isn't really a "story" here, it's just all the SOL chapters they didn't think were essential to add.

It would take some effort, but I really hope someone eventually makes a "complete" version after this season airs.
If you reply back to me and I never respond, I lost interest and don't care. Sorry about that.

Tbh, IT IS!!
I'm loving this asf and don't know why the creators didn't animate these in the season 1.

for me s1 was 7//10 bcz of the rushed story and it had potential with many characters...
s2 tho no story stands out bcz its like combo of OVAs so no need to think of storyline just plain enjoy 8/10

I think that season 1 was more focused on estabilshing the whole relationship of hori and miyamura and was more focused on the romantic and dramatic aspect of the show while season 2 is just animating the more slice of life and comedy parts which were left out in season 1.

If only they didn’t try to finish the story in 12 episodes, all of this would’ve been sprinkled in between and would’ve made for a great balance, as intended. Cool that they went back to do this, but they really fumbled initially with rushing it. I have been enjoying it as well tho

Is more wholesome only because you knew how it ends

The main anime is more focused on the romance side of things, while Piece is more focused on the comedic and Slice of Life side.

It would’ve been better if this was all in the main anime, that I agree with. I’m happy that CloverWorks is back with this.

I agree!!

Once it’s done, some manga reader, please, create a canon watch order which follows the manga 🙏

I think the reason why people seem to be enjoying Pieces is because of nostalgia and already knowing that it has a happy ending so there are no questions and fears whether they will resolve their differences etc.
It´s more like looking back at how your friends once were instead of being emotionally invested in the story where you are not sure whether you might expect a break up.

I think all the episodes this far in Piece have been some of the funniest and most memorable chapters to me from the manga. I can't believe these episodes were left out in the first season, but I suppose they wanted to focus more on story progression.

You won't just be able to watch episodes in a certain order, it would have to be spliced up, OnePace style.

I am actually glad they did it this way, Horimiya would definitely not be as popular and well-recieved as a series if they adapted everything in S1. Because I remember there was a period when the manga was serializing where the story was not progressing and the SoL chapters were getting tiring for a lot of people reading the manga, just wishing for it to end. They got all the necessary stuff down in S1. A lot of people are crying for muh timeline but it's literally not important for a series like this, there is the pre-haircut miya and post-haircut miya, that's all it's worth being concerned over.

I definitely agree abt the 24 episodes, I kinda like that there isn’t any story here, for a series like this I think a season of missed fluff is so much fun and very needed

Trueeee bro, S1 was good until ep 6, after that they started following the story of the side characters and it just started feeling like fillers

I think the way it was adapted was fine. After reading the manga after a recent rewatch of s1 before this current season came out adapting the main story and then side stories makes much more sense imo

As a manga reader I always liked horimiya's comedy and slice of life aspect more than the romance one, as they were the thing that made the series shine imo. So this season is obviously better than the first for me. Future viewers can just mesh the two seasons according to a list someone makes so they can get the whole complete feeling of horimiya.

I really liked the first season mainly because of its unique and eye catching character designs(props to cloverworks, giving romcoms the shounen treatment with shows like horimiya and dress up darling)

I'm enjoying this season sooooo much more because reading the manga after s1 made me realise that the best bits of comedy weren't adapted. So I'm just thankful that a romcom is getting the royal treatment

Yeah I liked S1, but it didn't really stick with me much after I finished it. I'm really enjoying the humor in Piece a lot more!
