 The screenings of Hayao Miyazaki's Kimitachi wa Dou Ikiru ka (The Boy and the Heron) anime movie revealed the cast members and theme song on Friday. The movie opened in Japanese theaters on July 14. Yoko kara Miru ka?) is performing the movie's theme song "Chikyuugi." Miyazaki is credited for the original work, direction, script, as well as storyboard at Studio Ghibli. The anime movie is inspired by Genzaburou Yoshino's Kimitachi wa Dou Ikiru ka (How Do You Live?) slice of life drama novel published in 1937. | I read the manga and it was pretty boring for me. Don't understand why they chose it to adapt and even a mystery for me why there are no promos and videos as the source is pretty average. |

The title is taken from the manga (or rather the novel the manga adapts), but that's about it from what I've heard. It's an original movie.I read the manga and it was pretty boring for me.
