| Overall, a sequel that feels very unfocused, some chapters are completely devoid of content (one is about purchasing a car, another a shooting class, another about talking about movies). It feels like the author suddenly had to wrap up the manga, that's why he mixed every storyline and remaining character backdrop in the last two volumes, while handling every character poorly. Bandit? He's just there. Roy? He is only a cameo. Ken? Same thing. Rally's father? Nowhere to be found. May? Written out of the manga in an out of character way, even though her resolution was everything she wanted. Becky? Written out of the manga just because. Misty? Completely rewritten and ruined as a character. Goldie? Rewritten through drugs and amnesia. Rally? She stays the same and has no character conclussion, she even gives up on her friends/partners/out of nowhere love interests just because the manga had to end. |
