So we get to the penultimate episode. I remember this episode being the third or fourth one in the 1963 version, at least for the English dub, so it's weird seeing this one being one of the last. As for the episode itself, it made me realize how little Astro Boy has really grown as a character. He still gets bullied and harassed for being a robot. He still has no autonomy or agency. He still fights robots without hesitation, but won't defend himself against humans. It's tiring seeing him basically the same as those first few episodes from the 1963 show. Not much has changed. I guess that's not his purpose. As for the episode, it was alright. Not the best, not the worst. Just an ok episode.
