Not only is the artstyle of the manga very unique high quality and has a huge emphasis on the architecture of the environments and the characters clothes

The mainleads are very expressive and have a lot of back and forth dialogue, not sure about the va yet, but how well the adaptation does hinges on the two leads voices and art direction.

I hope both will be done well, because this anime of the year material

Yokohama Animation Laboratory is a relatively new studio, so I wouldn't get my hopes up. However, judging from the teaser, I think this might just be their stepping stone to success; they just have to manage their resources correctly, to achieve the best possible outcome, which is an accurate presentation of the mangaka's artstyle.

To be frank, I don't expect a lot, but its tv commercialization might lead to the manga getting further attention, which in succession leads to financial gain, meaning that we may see a better studio handling it in the future.

The manga in itself is very impressive, considering how "The Witch and the Beast" is Kosuke Satake's debut in the manga literary scene.

The conclusion: Please, Yokohama Animation, for the love of God, don't butcher this gem.

I would also add quality of animation to the list. So far, as of the first episode, it doesn’t have that.

@Merve2Love I feel like comedy anime usually get more of a pass for lower quality animation, while for action series it can make or break them.

if anything, it should be a prerequisite to have at least the same quality as the manga to not flop
