| Liked this episode more, things have picked up and the true adventure begins. Liked the interactions between Will/Allison and the old woman, each episode so far has contained a nice and simple little lesson about how similar people are. |

| Setting kinda reminds me of Valkyria Chronicles...though I guess I say that for every Interwar/WWII themed anime. It like that it's a straight-up adventure anime, which is a rare breed. Exposition is done well, but there are some kinda iffy things that stick out to me- the fact that the MC's county used poison gas, a war crime irl, without the script really acknowledging that- I kinda feel that the ethics of that ahould be addressed, though whether that's something to be examined later remains to be see. The other is the obviously German/Nazi uniforms of the opposing state, while the Allison's at least appears to be more or less fictional. Those carry a big baggage that is kinda distracting. They also keep mentioning Allison's blonde hair as if it's something special, when it doesn't seem to be. |

Mrs Radia forgot about handing Wil and Allison over to the Sou Beil authorities, I noticed. In fact, she even gave them military uniforms as a disguise. Guess amiability can make you some friends even in "enemy" nations. |
