I’m gonna be very honest, idc if I get blocked. Your take on Sasuke is stupid. You don’t lie him because he’s distant? Sasuke is basically the incarnation in anime for depression, it’s what people irl do when we are depressed. Take this from someone who grew up in the emo phase. Self harm and depression are real and Sasuke was the emo kid in Naruto. He didn’t trust anyone, kept his distance from his friends

Sasuke is by no means one of my favorite naruto characters, but I do kinda like him. I feel like a lot of people dont understand the extent of what having your parents killed right in front of you can do with a child, and dislike him for being too depressed, but he has every right to be like this. However, even as someone who thinks Sasukes behaviour is justified, I dont necessarily like the path that he chose. What makes him most likable for me personally is just that he has a bunch of awesome abilities and this cold look that you would typically expect from a badass anime character.

I like Sasuke from Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, including the fights with Naruto in Boruto. Although, I wish they didn’t make him look bad in certain situations.

I remember him being like my absolute favorite anime character back when I was watching the anime (2009-2013~). Not because he was dark and edgy, but because he basically was all alone against the entire world and his perception of the world was changing constantly. Like, his goals were changing so drastically they were completely opposite of each other every time he learned something new about Itachy, Leaf village, etc. He even tried to face all the Kages basically by himself. I was just itching to know where all of this will ultimately lead him.

he's simple and you can't take him too seriously because his goals end up being wrong every time. also surprisingly he never does anything that really matters so it's not like he distracts from the plot. if he's there, something cool is gonna happen. that's it. meanwhile Naruto will waste your time all day long

I didn’t say you have to like him because he’s emotionally damaged. I like a lot of dark characters like Dabi hence my pfp lmao but each of their own. I’m just pointing out it’s stupid to think people don’t deal with this irl and say that nobody is gonna like that person because their dealing with some shit

He’s a great character until he the final fight with Itachi, then Kishimoto started fumbling in the writing, especially writing the character of Sasuke from that point onward, making him one of the worst and most inconsistent characters of the last part

I’d argue his character inconsistency after the Itachi fight is what makes him so great. In fact, aimlessness, inconsistency and his lack of direction was the whole point of his arc after that point. He became volatile, angry, outwardly emotional, because he didn’t know how to process such soul shattering information.

So I guess a lot of people have different things they want out of anime, but I’d rather have characters that contribute to the story and then exit the spotlight to give focus to the main characters, than have some series where every side character is forced to have empty fights with villains all the time. I don’t see Lee and Neji as wasted potential, I see them as good side characters who had interesting storylines and contributed to the overall plot and world in a meaningful way and then exited to give way to the great main characters.

I mean we can have diff opinion but ofcourse I don't want a story focusing on side characters more than main character but...they were useless in 4th ninja war..useless in pain arc...they were only useful till og...some of them were amazing like Lee etc...but they were removed from big war all together...ofcourse with naruto and Sasuke they also trained...but they did nothing to madara or obito...Lee who can open 6 gates...what happened to him...neji of course...shikamaru team...they were all together shown so weak...as if only naruto and Sasuke trained and other were chilling...shikamaru prodigy...what can you remember from him in war arc...they couldn't even do anything against pain....naruto arrives and save...like show some work of side character....female cast...nothing...nothing...just bunch of weakling....I mean I Want focus on naruto but naruto arriving saving all the people from reanimated people like why....show some power of other people...wants the point of side cast..if they don't do anything to be called side cast...THERE MAIN FOCUS WAS ANYONE CAN BECOME ANYTHING WITH HARD WORK....AND THEY MADE NARUTO LOOK LIKE PRODIGY....LIKE SIX PATHS...IT WAS AS IF HE WAS DESTINED...IN OG HE DID ARD WORK...IS SHIPPUDEN...RANDOM POWER UP WITH SAGE OF SIX PATH...naruto was always choosen for six path...destined for It...confirming neji belief...WHY

He’s portrayed in a much edgier way in the anime compared to the manga fro what I’ve seen. He’s an amazing character but as a real person it’d be hard not to hate him.

The hate for him is somewhat understandable, I really like him though. His abilities halfway through Shippuden were so fcking op (more than Naruto's) and his terrorism attacks during Five Kage Summit was my fav arc. Sasuke is far more entertaining than majority shounen-like corny character with a savior complex

I dislike entirety of naruto series for being mid but blame kishimoto for making Sasuke (shippuden one) so hot. I don't basically care for 'all alone, depressed & dark' persona of characters in any media, but definitely love sasuke for his design, powers & most importantly Sword. I love swordsmen in anime-manga.

No. I don't like how arrogant and self-absorbed he was. I can understand the fact that he was distant due to the trauma he faced in regards to the slaughter of his clan. But he went above and beyond in trying to break his ties with people who were trying to help him. And there were plenty of characters beyond just him who knew what it was like to suffer the loss of loved ones. Most ninjas in Naruto had hard life circumstances that people in real life wouldn't wish to go through.

At the beginning I always thought that Sasuke was a nicely written character and he prolly was my favourite in the series but as the series progressed.. Sasuke’s character was basically ruined due to the writing. I mean my man was so easy to influence like come on dude. All he did was setting plot lines for Kishimoto in the worst ways possible.
I still liked his dialogues, abilities and design but the character is just below mid if I’m being lenient.

I'm kind of in the grey for this, I think he's an iconic character and having Naruto as his rival made him stand out a lot more than just some edgy kid who has family issues. The criticism is that he's pretty confusing throughout the whole series. You never really know what he's thinking, you only see that he's obsessed with power since he was the 1st person I associated with such characteristics.

Personally I do find certain aspects about Sasuke that i am not too fond of. Granted I do enjoy a good revenge story, and I also understand Sasuke is supposed to be a character with complexity in emotions. But when an anime has as many episodes as Naruto/ shippuden does, a character such as Sasuke that is almost always edgy, distant and talks shit to practically everyone, it does (to me at least) gets sort of lame.

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,

I’ve hated him all my life. His duck hair and basically a stripper in Shippuden (don’t take that part seriously lol) but I hate him for more than his looks. His brother died for him and for the village, and sasuke decides to go destroy the village. Like what?? He marries Sakura and then leaves both her and his daughter. What?? He decides to train boruto…why?? Remember that time he said he wanted to be hokage??
