I didn't read Strange Fake yet but I'm not sure if they introduced the basic things first in the LN like Fate/Zero and subsequently, Fate/Stay Night. Because LITERALLY ALL of other Fates have expected you to already read the Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night VNs/watched both of Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night anime. You can't get into Fate/Extra first because that thing throws you into some Star Wars shit. You can't get into Fate/Grand Order first because that thing straight up throws you into a mind-bending time-traveling into the multiverse while exploring every details of every cultures on Earth. You can't get into Fate/Requiem first because it's literally the most confusing thing ever. And this applies to every other Fates. While Fate/extra and Fate/go are kinda standalone too, the fact that they're also games makes it less of a payoff to just play them instead of watching the originals first. |
