Right totally agree with you. I don't get why people are competing which is more popular and which is not. Not just in anime but to music and artists as well. Like come one, so what if it's underrated or not popular anymore? What matters is the talent (for artist) and how enjoyable the anime is. It doesn't need to be popular for you to enjoy some things.

the stats basically prove that season 1part 2 tanked.
all i can see are good manga sales. and that season 1 of sxf was on no.1 in nextflix japan for a week.

nothing about part 2. so is the hype dying down?

MAL users have too much brain rot. This anime is still super popular and is pretty much always on a high in the manga sales, even despite how I feel about the action being botched.

Much much more than something like for example, Bocchi the Rock which is seeing nothing but praise on MAL and nowhere else substantial like real people buying the product lmao.

I just started watching this and it's been a good watch so far. It's funny and adorable. The concept is a bit unique too, a spy, a telepath and an assassin as a family, I'm enjoying it as a new watcher.

I really enjoyed the first season. However, this season I am just getting tired of the same troupes. The jokes aren't really landing. The only funny character is Anya in my opinion.

If nothing changes in it's 2nd season, Spy x Family will be remembered as that one show that never realized it's potential. Oh well, I was never it's target audience anyway.

As much as I am losing hype for it due to part 2 feeling a bit weaker than part 1, I don't think it's a bad show at all. It can easily bounce back if the movie and second season is interesting.
