This is Shounen-Ai right?

Just saw a trailer for the next season, the aesthetics are very gay. It does not seem that there are any major female characters either. Some guy thirsting over a photo of the MC, even zooming in.

The problem is I don't see a shounen-ai tag in the genre list.

No, it's just male students in school club, like other sport anime (without female manager because the manager is the teacher).
There are many female students in the club as well.

Jeeez, where does this come from?! :| Actually I like shounen-ai, even yaoi, but this show has nothing to do with any of these genre! The art style is decent and the plot is also. I enjoyed it as it is: a sport anime that presents a sport that isn’t so well know. (I mean at least not in every culture) It’s definitely worth watching it!

It's not lol like most shows with an all male cast, you can certainly ship the characters. it's also made by KyoAni, who did Free!, so I'm sure they wanted to sell this anime and merch to fangirls

It comes from most anime have some form of romantic subtext so you pretty much expect it. Might be big, might be very subtle.
