When Part 6 was out, it is evident that the animation is stiffer than before. You would think that having an additional year of production the animation would be more fluid, but nothing has changed. We went from the gloriously made Part 5 to this... Has Netflix single-handedly ruined JoJo? Are we going to wait another year for mediocrity?

the animation is better than part 1 and 2s lol
and lets not talk about part 4s animation when it aired on tv
part 5 also had a higher budget since its the most popular part in japan or somethin
and netflix has nothing to do with the production
next batch is gonna be in like 6 months so the wait aint that bad
and aslong as they adapt the story properly its fine as stone ocean is the best manga part out of the first 6
also what is the screenshot above trying to prove

I’m somehow partial agreement, sure not it’s not to up to spiff with what part 5 had, but it’s still JoJo, but there are so many contributing factors to why part 6 is lacking, such as hype (batch release is terrible, I miss weekly), feeling a bit rushed, lack of a new OP or ED. There may be more that I missed out but I’m feeling less ecstatic about part 6. I just hope that the last batch is done right and paced well, suffice to say that the last few stands and users, also the last fight should be top tier.

the actual reason this happened is actually partly on david production, their A-team os animating urusei yatsura instead of jojo's which they normally do. and they just shoved jojo's onto their B-team (less talented). im not sure if netflix also pressured them with less time i can't find a source on that but the thing i said above is true i have a source if you want me to post it, tell me i will update this post with source but i can't be bothered to look it up rn if you believe me in the first place

it was still good tho ๐Ÿคท‍โ™‚๏ธ and there is no convincing anyone that phantom blood was better then this, season 6 part 2 was mad creative. Not to mention, stiff animation (which I didn't notice much) doesn't look horrible in Jojo since everyone be moving weird anyway, it just makes for a new feel, which is a very Jojo thing to do.
I think ur just salty at Netflix who literally just owns the streaming rights, they aren't actually animating it ๐Ÿ˜‚

It's JoJo so I don't understand how it can be ruined just because you have to wait a couple of months for a batch of episodes.

Even though I totally agree that Netflix shouldn’t release JoJo in batches. I don’t quite understand why everyone gets so up in arms about the wait between them or blames Netflix for ruining the production quality. I’m sure that David pro doesn’t give Netflix that much influence to where they can effect the production quality. They are just the ones with the streaming rights. And as to the wait between batches. It seems like a year is a pretty normal wait now days. Just take the two most popular anime right now (demon slayer and AOT), both of those had recent seasons/ batches that came out in the winter season of this year and are both expected to not have a new season/ batch release until winter of next year.

Also I thought the production quality of this latest batch was great!

Right, they'd totally just tell the people paying them that they are wrong so they can please the fans that will watch it anyway

What your saying doesn’t even make sense. Why the hell would Netflix pay David pro to make their production quality worse? The only way Netflix could possibly be affecting the quality is by giving David pro unreasonable deadlines. But that cant be possible since Netflix is “killing the hype” by waiting too long to release batches, right? David pro makes anime, Netflix pays David pro for the exclusive rights to stream said anime. That’s it.

For me, it's not even about animation, It's just a very underwhelming season/part compared to part 4 or part 5.

I thought that the plot improved a lot in the second batch. I agree that the first half was kinda boring, but I also kind of felt the same way about part 5. Honestly it wasn’t really until Diavolo appeared that the show really started to pick up.

idk this new jojo is just too weird, the amount of random bullshit happening on the screen is just too much. imo its not only worst animated part but also worst part overall
Am I a good person? No. But do I try to be better every single day? Also no

1- It did not take 1 year. It is 9 months (from December 2021 to September 2022)

2- 3rd part (ep 25 to 38) is taking only 3 months. It will be out in December this year

3- I love this anime, and enjoying it like other parts

4- I don't have problem with Netflix release 12 episodes one time as long there is no long break between each cour

I don't think it's a problem about the animation quality but it's a problem about the direction of the part. The direction quality wasn't costant trough the episodes. The best directed one was episode 3 of the second batch: that episode was beautiful in every aspect, the tension was built beautifully, the characters were on model, the music was put perfectly the still frames were awesome and so the animation sequences. Every episode should have been like 15, the other ones were good but not brilliant.
