Not much to say this time. Although the pacing has been really weird. If anything the post credit scenes were more interesting than the main set.

There's still a lot of episodes left though, I'm very curious what on earth is going to happen.

Anyway on to the episode itself. While not much happened, atobe and fuji won the doubles tiebreak as expected. While fuji didnt have much screentime previously, fuji, atobe and yukimura have all already played two matches this season.

Next up we have kintaro, and although australia almost turned it around kintaro did manage to close out the match. So japan wins against australia 3-0 as well, though it took two episodes instead of one.

The pacing is still really weird because six matches, 3-0 and 3-0 against greece and australia in just three episodes? Yikes. Cant help but feel they might be going too fast, or maybe there'll be some plot twist later on.

Post credits, swiss destroys japan in the doubles. Ishida was picked but he hasnt gotten an on screen match since the nationals. Kite hasnt won a match at all outside of the one in the movie.

I was actually going to say this a few eps ago but I was wondering where akutsu was. Turns out he's going to face amadeus in single next ep, oh my. Akutsu also kinda disappeared for a very long time in the main series only to show up again now.

The funny thing is japan is actually up over swiss right now because swiss lost to australia (somehow that idk if we're ever gonna get an explanation aside from yes. Or maybe they deliberately knew and threw their game to conserve their stronger members for japan)

I'd imagine japan is going to lose, I dont see any way akutsu can win. Since its the first time we have a round robin system and I'm assuming top two advances. USA also seems to be strolling through their matches. Swiss has even less "members", soo. Either there's going to be a change in the structure and/or the op later on, but its really curious. That or there'll be a break, but they cant possibly take a break that long?

None of the matches have lasted over an ep, so the match will probably wrap up next ep and we'll see how things go from there.
This also means byodoin (and tokugawa) aren't going to get to play in this stage. Kinda cheesy, but there was always too many players to fit everyone.
