 Refined and intelligent girls. Well, I'll start with some examples. Sample personality traits: ojou (conscientiousness), smart, polite, strict. Ruri from Oreimo.  Well, she's quite intelligent and thus reserved. (The important thing is that she's not aloof! Calm characters are often very distant, which I don't like anymore). Kate from Shadows House.  She's also very reasonable. Mayuko from Sola.  Mayuko is probably the most reasonable, she is "Kotoko in development". It's pretty hard for me to characterize these heroines in one way, but I think they're needed to help the main character (or others in general) think. They have very similar voices, mannerisms, and dialogue style. |

Yes, she fits, but I already know her. Maybe there are some more heroines? I just remembered Kotoko (2002) and it turns out she's even older than Shinku. (2004) Shinku somewhat emphasizes her etiquette. Kotoko emphasizes her intelligence. |

| Both Ange (in the top hat and mask near the beginning) and Dorothy (the driver) in Princess Principal are pretty level-headed. For a level-headed woman in a dramatic setting, Balsa in Seirei no Moribito has few equals. I like Kate quite a bit myself. I was happy when the second season opened with episodes from her viewpoint. |
