Overlord is just one of the greatest animes I've ever watched, and my favorite isekai alongside the slime one, It is definitely worth watching, i highly recommend it.

My only real complaint with the show is the cgi can be pretty horrid at times, other than that I loved it and would definitely recommend it. After finishing it I went out to buy all the light novels that were out at the time and finished them within a couple weeks.

you'll either love it or feel it's generic. for me at least it hits on enough of my - for the lack of a better term- aesthetic fetishes. so I enjoy it. I'd mainly recommend it to people who enjoy Isekai or dungeons and dragons.

If you love OP MCs and can handle anime that are not supposed to be SSS+++ Top Tier Rank, then you might really enjoy it. I fell in love with Ainzsama. I even preferred the english and german dub over the japanese dub version!

I really liked the anime even season 1 i rewatched the whole show multiple times but every time I rewatched it I was not paying attention to season / that much season 3 was alright the opening for season 3 is really good

as many said the show is pretty standard with an op protagonist.
but it has deep intentions of characters, plot, and world-building( though is simplified in anime as compared to the light novel) making it stand out a bit.

I'll give you an honest review.

It's a mostly comedic show about being transported to an Isekai and being one of the strongest being in a that world. (duh, is an isekai)

The interesting part of the story is that it has a lot of likable characters and comedic scenes. I wouldn't say it's a masterpiece or anything but it's a fun show to watch.

Overlord starts out very strong, and then it kinda stays at a very cliche but entertaining level, playing on familiar themes with predictable characters. Still, the world building is almost second to none. It is absolutely immersive, and learning about new places or peoples really holds the viewer’s investment. Season 2 feels a little bit weaker only slightly because after an amazing conclusion of season one, the mood shifts due to the change of focus from the main cast to a newer one. Of course, the story still is about Ainz Ooal Goal, and later on the focus changes back to our beloved cast of characters once again. Season three is more like perfectly executed fan service, with a much greater focus on the residents of Nazirick. This does not mean the events aren’t important or anything. There is just so much visual dessert for the eyes that it’s almost like eating a sweet cake throughout this season. We see a lot more of what season one led us to fall in love with. The ending is really not as impressive as the other season’s conclusions, but this is not saying it was bad or that it is not worth investing into the series. Rather, it is more meant to be hype for season 4, which everyone is eagerly awaiting since the events of season 3 really set the stage for even greater events to come. If you like action, horror, disturbing imagery, tragedy, and fascinating settings, then Overlord is definitely worth the investment. I think if you haven’t been entertained by the third episode, you will probably not enjoy it the rest.

Although animation isn't that good and cgi is... let's just stay away from it, I found a lot of enjoyment in it. The biggest plus in my book at least is the sheer power eins shows is just bone chilling and I find it really amusing. it was a first anime a binged more than 30 episodes. So all in all I find it a time worthy investment
