| Hey! I'm a brand new MAL user. "Yoroshiku-onegaishimasu!!" Try Wa-pedia, it's practically everything Japan, and theres an awesome travel section. Also, I want to do the same thing! :> If you plan on going to college (which you should) you should consider the gap-year program. The basic idea is that you get accepted to a college and make a request for the gap-year, or an allowed year off between high school and college to study on your own time. Once your selected college approves it you are allowed to take the year off. There are many study abroad programs for gap-years, including *Japan*, and if you show a certain amount of diligience, it is even posssible to get some college cred. Pretty sweet deal! |

| Also stay away from Hiroshima and Nagasaki, you might get irradiated there too. Hell, stay away from your computer, it radiates. That said, if you want to meet people and are open, I'd recommend big cities. People in big cities are usually more open, especially to foreigners. Also, you'll be a gaijin. Deal with it, it's not actually bad. |
