I love it. Strange that it's so underappreciated. Not as good as Clannad; but way better than Angel Beats. One of the most lovable cast of characters in anime.

In Clannad nagisa is my fav girl her character really improved a lot through the anime I will admit at first I thought she was kinda annoying

I never thought Nagisa was annoying. Seemed at first a bit boring perhaps. especially in comparison to the other Clannad girls with their crazy personalities.

My fave little buster girl is Rin. Her cat like personality cracks me up and her backstory is easily the most down to earth and relatable one. Kurugaya is great as well.

finally someone I can talk about little busters about seems rare nowadays but you make a good point

Refrain is actually my favorite anime made by Key. I absolutely love it, and I think Kuruguya is the best girl from any works from Key. Personally 😊

I actually wasn’t a big fan of the original little busters, but refrain was really good, better than angel beats for sure. Kurugaya best girl!

I enjoyed it but it's still not very good, a very flawed poorly written anime don't understand how anyone genuinely thinks this is better than angel beats. But I did really enjoy it loved the cast and ost loads. I just like Jun Maeda's work in generally for his lovable characters.

It feels like something which was condensed way too much to fit into the standard "One, maybe two seasons" format the other Key adaptations had.

I personally give 8 if it's ended at eps 11 but 7 or little lower for 13th, not really into the characters but rin and kudravyka is exception, they both so adorable and pat-able

If KyoAni would adapt this, this would be the same level as Clannad. Sadly, JC Staff picked it and butchered the VN a little.

LB is one of my favorite works of Jun Maeda but ngl the VN is much better than the adaptation. They cut some detailed contents from the VN and condensed the Refrain arc in 13 episodes.

Refrain, After Story, Graduation arc from Angel Beats, and the last arcs in Kanon are my favorite stories from Key so far.

damn, i love this anime, when i first time watch this anime, i think this anime gonna be a normal Comedy & Slice of Life anime, but i was wrong and i was speechless when see the end for the first time

I don't see how that's possible. The best two story arcs are in refrain after all. And the ending that all the arcs were leading up to.

My only complaint with refrain is that it's too short and cuts important detail from Rin's story and that it over-explains the ending as if we're all too stupid to understand.

Unpopular opinion, but little busters season 1 is better than little busters season 2 (little busters refrain).
The slice of life comedy was way more enjoyable than trying to be clannad sad, with wacky reality bending stuff, which felt rushed, forced and weird.
I know end of season 1 fantastical elements were introduced, but ignoring those epsiodes and just having the slice of life comedy stuff with those problem solving bits with some sad parts it could even rival dragon maid. But season 2, I don't know, just wasn't as good. I guess the tone shift went too hard or something.
