What a plot twist...or lack thereof for characters' motivation. And also, majorly 2D for episodes I feel ain't a bad thing to reserve for the 3DCG fights.

The Shikizakura ritual can go to hell for all I care, but what's important is the connection with Ibara for protecting the shrine maiden whoever it is (and in this case, it's Oka) who's performing the ritual severing separation of the human world and the nether realm.

The promise of Ibara with the previous Shrine Maiden Chisato, plus the cherry blossom symbolization only justifies the teaser photo. Kippei's plot device to analyze what's happened quick for Kakeru to ascertain it all back to the place he was found alive after the disaster 8 years past, it's by friendship that both are fated as friends to lift one another up.

We all need a dedicated friemd like Kippei.

Ukon asked Haruko to join his side. They both actually had an oni and fostering it inside them for their different purposes. Haruko seems to reject it, but at the end, she lost the battle and decided to follow him around. Meanwhile, Kakeru try another way to save Oka. But as same as above, he lost miserably, even though he could summon his own suit out without Ibara help. The dream Kakeru had also served as a way to reveal Ukon identity and backstory to justify his action. While Ibara once again showed how cool he was, when he successfully defending the shrine maiden, but he also unexpectedly sacrifice himself to do the ritual and clear it without using that shrine maiden. What a sad backstory for those cheeky oni. But at the same time, its quite dragged out with Kakeru and his determination to once again saving Oka. Ofc its need Kippei to pumped out all the forgetting spirits.

I feel like the ritual actually need to use Ibara again as how its happening too with the past. The possibility of the happy end still pretty much big, when its need no sacrifice at all even from Ibara, but they need to live as a hero forever to prevent oni spread the evil deeds without using Shikizakura ritual. Or even there's another way around? Lets see what route they choose.

Ok episode. Kippei is a good friend and because of plot convenience knows exactly where Kakeru and picks him up from the hotel place he was staying at. Kippei's reaction to when Kakeru tells him Oka will be sacrificed is pretty funny 'huh, really!'

Kinda looking forward to the next episode?

interesting Ibara backstory & how he saved past miko.
best bro hug, Kippei the man.
post ED nice puns, hinting Ukon's been alive 758yrs old as the karuta dude, and Haruko is a koala.
