THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
What happens in this episode is a product of two perspectives combined: Atom's and Ao Kishi's. Ao Kishi was the one who bluntly showed to human kind that they acted wrong toward robots. However, his attitude would have only led to a consuming war was it not for Atom who patiently taught human kind (through his constant love for them) that robots were in fact their allies; that robots only wished to be acknowledged, feel useful, and cherished.

But the reverse is equally true. If Ao Kishi hadn't existed, unfortunately, Atom's good nature would have failed to open people's eyes so that they could see there was harm in their behavior. This is only because, regretfully, people are still primitive and savage. They cannot understand certain things without violence.

The second observation is related to Atom. Tenma has created him after his son. But in his stupidity, he thought that if Atom was a robot, he would obey him unconditionally
It felt strange to me that an intelligent person such as Tenma, who wished to create robots with conscience, was so dense as to not realize that having conscience (even for a robot) meant to have personal opinions and beliefs. He should have rejoiced that his robot was so similar to his real son, doubting certain orders. For a scientist, that was certainly a success, not a failure! (I don't even think in reality such a thing would be possible 😂!) I've been worried all the time by Tenma's small heart. He mistook love for possession. Furthermore, instead of cherishing the love that he was shown, he wished to exchange it for a poorer gift: obedience. That would have only shut him inside a very lonely life.
"The me today will not ever make the future me to regret!"
