| Things seem to be moving pretty quickly, Misaki already recognised that Usui has been looking out for her, and as she pointed out he's a bit too chill and able to have everything under control too easily, so doesn't seem like a series where both the MC's are screwing up all the time, start out a mess emotionally, and have to grow a lot. I would only guess that maybe he'll have some issues further down the line regarding his background/family as that seems to be a subject they're avoiding for now. The designs are quite nice. Misaki looks really good in Maid mode, and it's the hairstyle change rather than the uniform that makes the difference. Her sister seems pretty moe too. Usui quite often looks like someone from a Juvia fantasy but suitable enough for the role |

| It's such a great feeling when a show ACTUALLY moves from "plan to watch" to "watching". While this is such a common shoujo trope (poor/plain girl, rich/popular/good-looking boy), I was still entertained. Misaki's facial expressions and the onomatopoeias gave the show a gag manga feel. It was quite humourous! I think the best part of the episode has to be when Usui was sitting in the maid cafe and was just humming "jiiii---". It was so awkward, I couldn't stop laughing. On to episode 2! |

| Tbh, I was a bit hesitant when thinking about starting this anime. The word "shoujo" kinda scared me: I've never seen one even knowing there are masterpieces such as Fruits Basket and Kamisama Kiss but, being unsure, I just put them in my plan to watch list, thinking "one day...". Shoujos always felt strange to me, but I decided to finally give them a chance and here we go. What to say? This ep was flawless! I found it funny and enjoyable, this' not the kind of comedy that makes you burst out laughing, but it indeed keeps you smiling the whole episode, which is perfect for this kind of show. Plus Misaki looks like a great mc, I can't wait to see more of her! The music (op/ed/OST) was very good and the animation was neat: I love this kind of anime adaptation characteristic of late 2000's. I hope this goes on keeping this kind of entertainment. Ofc I know big romantic moments will sparkle, but I like them if well constructed. For sure, this ep makes a great start. 5/5 |

| He's so goddamn smooth. This was an amazing first episode, I was debating watching this one for a while now and I'm glad AWC 2023 made me watch this! It was cute, funny, and entertaining. I can't wait to watch more interactions between the two ahhh I love Shoujo, it has a special place in my heart <3 and oh of course he would ask for something like that. |

| The early 2010's anime were peak!!! Maid Sama is a classic in the romance genre and I've finally decided to give it a try. I already like the two of them. Looking forward to the rest of the season!! |
