How about we just appreciate both Masterpieces without drawing any blood from both sides. That's what the anime community is for.

I am not in any conceivable way initiating a warfare, I am Just Interested In the opinions that the Community Holds. Writing and enjoyement of a series is extremely subjective, thus I would like to see what the majority prefer.

Berserk in my opinion is more emotionally engaging and depressing than Vagabond.
Vagabond is one of my favorite mangas, but I still prefer Berserk.
"Humans are like isolated islands, floating in the sea of fate.
Human encounters are like the collision of these lonely islands, and once they touch, there would be an effect. Sometimes, the islands would stick together, in the name of ‘interest’, ‘kinship’, ‘friendship’, ‘love’ and ‘hate’. But eventually, they would separate, walking towards the path of destruction.

This is the truth behind life."

imo vagabond is more chill ( still has its emotional moments) and you definitely learn more from it ( more philosophical), and lastly a bit more consistent imo. Whereas berserk is much darker, fucked up, maybe more engaging (at its peak) and definitely most unexpected.

so depends on ypur taste, dark fantasy with amazing storytelling or more realistic philosophical epic storytelling. Both are the goats

protagonist: both
antagonist:griffith
cast:both
overall: both are masterpieces in their own right it comes down to subjectivity when finding the best since emotions influence everything humans do one side will say vagabond the other would say berserk so decide for yourself

Uh neither and I agree that we should appreciate both of them because both of them are masterpieces in their own ways.

Nope... both of these series hold a very special place in my heart. I can't put them side by side cuz I feel it's disrespectful to the respective mangakas for some reason. Maybe, it's just me... I do respect other people's opinions tho. I personally don't wanna compare them. These are two of the greatest mangas ever written. So, yeah...

Overall: Berserk, easily. I actually don’t think Vagabond has a single thing over Berserk other than artwork. People putting Musashi above Guts are crazy.

Cast: Close, but gotta give it to Vagabond. Berserk has very few stand out characters(though they are some of the most well written) while Vagabond has a lotta stand out characters.

Overall: Vagabond, though it is a close win
