 The official website of the Shiroi Suna no Aquatope (The Aquatope on White Sand) television anime revealed seven supporting cast members, a third key visual (pictured), and promotional video for the second cours. The anime began airing on July 9 at 12:00 a.m. on Tokyo MX, BS Fuji, MBS, and Ryuukyuu Broadcasting.Cast Kaoru Shimabukuro: Mikako Komatsu (Arte) Akari Maeda: Kiyono Yasuno (Kakushigoto (TV)) Marina Yonekura: Nao Touyama (Bokutachi no Remake) Eiji Higa: Yuusuke Nagano (The iDOLM@STER SideM) Akira Hoshino: Masaki Terasoma (Nihon Chinbotsu 2020) Tetsuji Suwa: Satoshi Hino (Yuukoku no Moriarty) Bondo Garando: Shuuhei Sakaguchi (Fairy Tail) Female vocal group ARCANA PROJECT is returning from the first cours to perform the second opening theme "Tomedonai Shiosai ni Bokutachi wa Nani wo Utaudarou ka," previewed in the promotional video below. Dempagumi.inc member Risa Aizawa will perform the ending theme "Shingektsu no da Carpo." Toshiya Shinohara (Nagi no Asu kara) is directing the anime at P.A. Works, and Yuuko Kakihara (Orange) is handling the series composition. U35 (Lapis Re:LiGHTs) is credited for the original character designs, and Yuki Akiyama (Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara) is serving as both the character designer and chief animation director. As seen in the PV, Fuuka leaves Okinawa to, presumably, pursue her dream, as she is to star in a movie. So the character is not Fuuka, but Chiyu - the woman who came to work at Gama Gama for a limited time. Next to her is Kaoru, a woman. Yes, thanks, I already read about the character on the official website. It looks like the authors are going to use her as a special weapon against Kuuya, lol. Also, about Fuuka. Do you seriously think that Kukuru will now have a Fuuka clone as the new BFF? |

| Why is Fuuka not there?? I wish it ended in one cour like it's better to know both of them decided to pursue their specific careers than see it continue without Fuuka... And to think the bitch I thought had a temporary appearance will play a main role now....I just hope she has a good character development that will change my opinion of her. |

While I can't yet be sure that Kukuru and Chiyu will become as close as Fuuka and Kukuru, I am fairly sure we can expect to see them become better friends. With Kukuru learning new, advanced methods of maintaining a massive, new aquarium, and the sealife in it, and with Chiyu learning that the secret behind Gama Gama's impressive 48 years is, surprisingly, deep emotions and memories tied to the place. Chiyu seemed to me like a promising character. Looking forward to the 2nd cour! :'D Well, when the biography of an androgynous female character mentions that a female-hater androgynous male character mistook her for a boy, it sounds like an idea for a ship, lol. The writers described the idea of the show as "girl meets girl," so their friendship will be close anyway. Not to mention, only Fuuka was sister-zoned, you know :D |
