| heard no one say this on this thread or probably ever, but I muchhhhhhhh prefer the anime. even after rewatching it after reading the manga I still think it’s better, don’t know what it is. I thought it was insanely good, it didn’t focus on many things the manga did and I kind of liked that because I wasn’t invested in the little details of the story but rather the overarching concept with ishida and shouko. their relationship is really what settled it for me and all the extra development for ishida’s other friends I couldn’t really care for to be honest. |
| Despite I agreeing manga indeed improve the writing, it still didn't feel fully fleshed out. But the main reason I believe anime is indeed better is because the direction in here make the situations so much more impactful than the manga, while there sometimes it feels like stuff just happens. Although I still believe the anime is just a bit overpraised, specially the general thought of believing this is superior than Kimi no no Wa, when in all honestly, they're on the same level considering they're different genres. |

| Well, almost all anime cut stuff from the manga. If you want to know everything, then obviously read the manga. |

| Yes I am glad someone pointed this out. Personally I thought the manga was much more enjoyable as there's more content and I feel not enough people have read it. |
