I just want to geek out a bit here. This is basically a retelling of Thorin Oakenshield's story from The Hobbit: the exile of the Dwarves from their Mountain Kingdom after a conflict with the dragon(s).

The author is definitely a Tolkien fan. I've had a suspicion before with Menel (whose name means 'sky' or 'heavens' or 'firmaments' in Sindarin). Now, this chapter confirms my suspicion by mentioning Valacirca, a constellation name in Tolkien's Legendarium which means 'Sickle of Valar' in Quenya.

I can't wait for chapter 35. I'm seeing where this part of the story is going...and I LIKE IT. Finally I'm seeing another different kind(I may say Epic type) of isekai, after "Tate no Yuusha"(WN-Manga-Anime) and "Hataraku Maou-sama!"(Manga-Anime), and the other ecchi ones like "Mushoku"(Manga-Anime) and "How not to summon a Demon Lord"(Manga-Anime)....
If my guess is right..this looks like a mix of Tolkien Story, FFXIV and DS references for some characters and still Tolkien for others
