| Netflix jail and shoes like this are just not that popular anymore unlike back in 2009, when we had Golden age for long running battle shounens and high demand for those. Also, IMO this is vastly inferior to Fairy Tail. |

| Netflix, it’s not released outside of Japan so it’s not as hyped as Fairy Tail was since Crunchyroll and Funimation both have streaming rights to Fairy Tail. |
| Because people are judgmental and won't watch it because it looks like Fairy Tail Imagine how unpopular fairy tail would've been if Rave had been more popular back in the days! Anyways, those who're not watching it are missing out because it's amazing later on but if you're not into shounens then it's not gonna change your opinion or anything |

| As many have said, Netflix jail. Even for those who want to obtain it through nefarious means it'll be difficult to watch I imagine it'll get more popular as it becomes more accessible. I don't think it has anything to do with the quality of the show itself Also some people might think they need to watch Fairy Tail first, so will not watch it because of that. |

| I would say it’s probably mostly just Mashima haters who don’t like that the MCs designs look similar to his previous MCs in other series. Imo it’s not an issue at all because there’s always been some mangaka whose characters look the same/similar and it’s not necessarily a bad thing. I guess it’s just a problem for others because Mashima shows that he could design more interesting MCs, when you see his character designs that aren’t the MCs, but he just doesn’t. However, considering that Hiro Mashima does something like Osamu Tezuka’s Star System, where some of the characters appear in a different series from the same mangaka because they’re more like “actors” playing a character rather than just being that one character, I think that’s rather interesting and have no problems with it. |

| Why? Maybe because people just don't like it? I thought it was boring and uninteresting, there was no gripping hook like in other shonen that keeps you comming back. The "twist" in the first episode was pretty obvious. The characters also have nothing interessting. The fans keep saying it's better than FT, but that's not a high bar to jump. |

'ok let me finish this one whitout a ending, and stat a new one, with the same character design because why not' all i see here is peaple saying that is hate, or netflix fault, but look at the manga score and if is gonna be that better, just wait, if its good, than the score is gonna go up |
| YEEE.... Just got to this series cause it was in Jail, LUL Anyways... Fairy Tail in Space as usual. Not really a bad thing, cause it's popular enough in Japan for it to get an anime series afterall. (plus author's connections from past series) I read some of the manga before and it was interesting, tho some are kinda repetitive. |

| I don't understand it, people say that it's a repetitive series or things like that, but they do not say the same about Shaman King with his plot of "the king of the pirates" or being "the best hokage" and stuff. I don't understand what is repetitive about a shonen that takes place in space, yes, series like DB GT did it too, but even all series have something different and intriguing and several of the things that EZ offers later are quite fresh for the genre. In any case, it's silly to think that because a series isn't popular and has low ratings it means that it is bad or garbage, people get carried away by popular opinions. For many this series is garbage, for me it's not, like for many the KnY movie is wonderful, for me it is still just another movie of the heap. On the other hand, the fact that it's not on the global streaming platforms already takes away a bit of visibility, although I do not think that is the specific reason. |

You do realize it was stupid to compare Shaman King to One Piece and Naruto right? They came out not that far from each other... In fact... Shaman King - 1998 One piece - 1997 Naruto - 1999 If anything, it would be Naruto copying Shaman King? LUL The current Shaman King 2021 is a remastered edition that's going to have the volumes ending which the original didn't have. (pretty much what DBZ did with DBZ Kai and then SuperS) And I said "repetitive" in term of the Edens Zero it self, not to previous works. (this series tends to reuse certain plots, but it's not uncommon for shounen series to do, in fact, Fairy Tail did that shit tons, LOL) (not saying it's a bad thing, just that some ppls in this age doesn't really like to watch same things happen over and over, aka old DBZ styled fights that took over 5 episodes to do something that happens in 30 mins, the reason why in DBZ Kai, they cut out tons of "fillers" in fights to shorten them down from 5 episodes to 2 episodes, etc) ___ ___ ___ Also, as said, the rating is mostly cause ppls were mad they couldn't watch the anime cause it's in Netflix Japan and it takes a while for ppls to get it and reupload it onto anime sites. (some sites reupload faster cause they're super pirate sites that doesn't care about being taken down cause they have literally 30 different region servers all over the world) The rating is mostly just English ppls, this series is in fact still very popular in Japan. (you should know this by now... Ratings on English sites are pure crap, just like some reviews... some current airing series have weird reviews going around right now, so much that MAL MODs had to go around and post about it. |

| plebs moaning about the same character designs... its like Mashimas own anime multiverse where each series have slightly similar characters set in another world. maybe thats already to deep for our anime elitists. |
