FoxenAnime has read the 2nd manga and tells you what the TV series did and did not do. also, if you didn't know the 1st manga was a self-published-online-only 4koma (4 panel/frame) COMEDY skit-type. as far as i know these OVA are sourced from the 1st manga. the 2nd manga was the only one to be physically printed in a more 'standard manga' format with multiple page chapters. i believe the 2nd one added a new artist but the 1st mangaka stayed on as the author. this was the source for the TV series. |

I exactly know what is the difference between this anime ova and new anime. I have already watched first 2 episodes of this ova and also checked out the source too This is original manga adaptation. original manga is web manga with really bad art (children level) and remake manga was released because mangaka collaborated with a manga artist and remake manga has improved art quality of almost same story (except original covers longer content) for a proper release but non of this my point. i was asking what chapter is this NEW ova (episode 5 and episode 6) are covering? There are lot of horimiya chapters not adapted. So is this ova (aka episode 5 and 6) covering something new or not is the point. I just dont want to rewatch same content just because its from a different production or from the original web manga |

I just dont want to rewatch same content just because its from a different production or from the original web manga 1 yup there is an understanding barrier and apparently it is on your end. i got what you were asking at first. the whole thing. but i can't answer what's on the next 2 OVAs because i'm not on the anime production staff or own the disks. the disks are already on sale in Japan as of May 25th. since i doubt anybody here on MAL has the disks and a Japan Region DVD/BR player (or region-less player). maybe somebody here lives in Japan. but other than those options; nobody here can help you till Live/Evil fansub group (or somebody else) puts the disks up online. 2 if you cared to watch the FoxenAnime YouTube video i provided he clearly explains about the 4koma version is MUCH shorter than the 'standard manga version'. basically, there's about 4 TIMES as much content as what the OVA folks are drawing from using the 4koma version. you said you read some of the manga but miss-spoke saying the 4koma version has more content. i've read neither so perhaps the anime/light novel/manga otaku journalist living in Japan, with several decades of experience FoxenAnime, was entirely incorrect when he said in the video i so helpfully posted and you apparently skipped... the 4koma is SHORTER and the standard manga is LONGER. 3 since the remake manga has more content, the TV series probably drew alot from that. maybe they covered stuff the 4koma didn't get to, maybe they skipped that standard manga content because the screenwriters/director(s)/producers didn't think it was necessary content. 4 i have seen a few panels of the 4koma and yup, i have to agree the art is perhaps middle school child level. :> there's very few manga i've seen printed or online with such low-qual art. so i'm quite surprised in the 1st place that it got a standard manga remake. i guess the remake was so good that folks loved it alot and the usual 'pump and dump' 12 episode anime season was made to promote the sales. 5 and hey, sorry for all the mixups! :D i'm just here to try and help out as much as i can. :D hopefully i've done some good amongst all the miss-communications. :D |

| Thought I'd post an update here: OVAs 5 & 6 are out, but we're still waiting for Live-evil's fansubs (they're working on it). If you understand Japanese, enjoy! Otherwise be patient, I'm sure subbed versions will be out soon. |
| OVA 5 and 6 are nothing NEW. Do not get excite over these since they are just recap of the TV series. |
