| Juunkei Yamazaki (probaby better known as Pigeon dude) from San Gatsu is imo one of the most well done and fleshed out side characters I've seen. The fact that he basically gets only a single chapter (half an episode) for himself makes this all the more impressive. His chapter fits in perfectly with San-Gatsu's overarching themes of personal hardship, and you not only learn a wealth about him (as well as having all prior convictions about him dispelled), but you also learn a great deal about Rei and Nikaidou from a completely different perspective than the one's that came before it. |
