| I've liked most of the ones I've seen. I kind of only like them if they have cool visuals though and if they're at least somewhat coherent. One of the ones I didn't like was Inaka Isha. I found it grating. Sometimes they can be excessively strange to the point they're off putting. |

| I like most anime with the Dementia tag, they usually are very thought provoking, which I very much enjoy. My favorites would be stuff like SEL, Penguindrum, and Perfect Blue. |

| I just clicked the genre's tag on MAL and... holy cr*p -NGE -Devilman crybaby (meh but ok) -Higurashi (whatever) -FLCL -EoE -Lain -Perfect Blue -Paprika -Paranoia Agent -Mawaru Penguindrum! -... OOF Ousama game LMAO ok I guess the list stops looking good right here. Mal's rankings look much better with the dementia filter on for sure. |

Dementia - Anime that have mind-twisting plots. I don't even think "dementia" should exist in the genre filter, first of all it takes away the element of surprise by saying "there are alot of plot twists", or a "mindtwists coming up", secondly its not very different from psychological genre. A better substitute would be "surreal". |

I have seen one or two, but Perfect Blue is one of the best anime of the genre. It was trippy! Everyone should watch it |
| I love it, it's amazing how creative animators can be. This is one of the genres when a series can use abstraction to the fullest and still look natural, in contrary to live-action movies Like, Jesus, I wish I would be as creative as these anime makers |

| Ugh, sorry, but I hate being reminded Inuyashiki exists. Like everything else, it can be done well and done badly. And if you're gonna do it, be consistent with it. People love Satoshi Kon and I admire the way he's done some things. But Paranoia Agent is my example of randomness that kicked in late, removed all tension and made me count minutes until it'd finally end. Saying it's a metaphor and means something is an irrelevant, basic defense when other arguments run out. And if it's done like Cat Soup, or Lain, bits of Kara no Kyoukai? I'm in. Let's just not pretend storytelling rules don't apply 'cause shit's deep yo. |

| They are pretty "weird". In the case of Devilman: Crybaby, that's a good thing. In the case of Neon Genesis Evangelion, that's a bad thing |

| Dementia is pretty much one of my least liked genre. I do like few anime from dementia like hagurashi, paprika or perfect blue. But in the end I acknowledge if its properly done, it creates mastershits. its basically the anime made for messing with audience which evades "logic aspect" because it's a dementia. I don't appreciate that Inuyashaki is not a dementia though |
