| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- First, the freaking recap infodumped the shorter kids piloting. Terrible writing. So. A Katue and Jimmy based ep. Totally calling Katue is an alien again, though considering how old she was when humans got her, aliens must have amazing memory (despite her losing hers). Of course because this was written by the same guy who made Gundam, their parents die before they could even get away from Station 2. There was no soldiers to protect the ship? And I don't understand how Jimmy and Katue got left behind. What the heck were their parents dong?? And more and more I watch, the more and more I can't help but see: Roddy is Mom, Barts is Dad, Kate is the Cool Aunt, Scott seems to be growing into his Big Brother role. I guess Clare would be the Big Sister. It's funny too since here Barts scolds Kents and Roddy backs him up; Roddy tells Barts not to be negative and let the kids have fun which is opposite of their usual dynamic. |
