I just really want FMAB off the top. I liked FMAB, i even gave it a 9/10, but idk something about its community really irritates me. (no offense to any FMAB fans out there, some of you can be genuine darlings but I've had some real sour experiences). Also, I want a new #1. Its a new decade. FMAB ruled for 10 yrs, now time for a change. Hell, i even voted gintama the final a 10/10 without watching any of the previous seasons cuz i wanted it to become #1.

What helps is the fact that I'm probably the biggest AOT fan in existence. Its a HUGE part of my life.

Tldr; I'd be really really happy

I would feel nice because FMAB fanboys have always cheated their way through every time Gintama hit #1. They were even pissed when Owarimonogatari season 2 hit #1 like imagine hating a well-written series and hating it because it surpassed your favorite anime LMFAO. But all jokes aside, AOT does deserve to be praised; we have an amazing plot twist, and Eren changed a lot in the final season.

I am bringing story because not only animation quality affects score and some people watch it for story. People don't mind cgi as much as you do thats why we rate it 10/10 and you saying that it's not a genuine score.

mine was just an example to show why Evangelion is not in a top 10, I didn't mean that it is necessary to be revolutionary, how can there be a movies, of the quality of the first gost in the shell under Seishun Buta? Do you understand that everything is spoiled by popularity? For me SnK is among the top 2 shonen released in the last 10 years, but the anime is overrated and its quality is objectively only 'good'.
The anime community is growing and new productions will always have an edge over old ones
I would also like to say how stupid the myanimelist system is in separating the seasons of same Anime.

I will be happy because finally AOT deserved that spot. FMAB is my top 2 fave anime of all time (AOT is obv my #1), so either of the two being the top 1 anime here is fine with me. 💙
