I have like a random volume of Pokemon Heart Gold or Soul Silver lying around my house somewhere. But other than that, I own no manga because there is no store around me that sells manga and I don't have a credit card

Somewhere around 280 volumes I believe? I'd have to recount but I'm not feeling that haha. I'm probably going to sell or donate some series I don't like or wouldn't read again soon.

Should be around 3000 but I started collecting them when I was only 14 so there's a lot I don't like anymore and planning to sell

I have 350 individual volumes, plus several omnibus, and three in ones and such, so 400+ and counting. That numbers gonna go down relatively soon when I have to move out after college. I want to take it all with me, but I doubt I'll be able to.

42 volumes for now. I plan to find a good bookcase and then little by little buy the manga I want the most and will reread the most.

I have roughly 250ish manga on my shelf right now, but most of my collection is in my parents basement in storage. If I were to guess I have roughly 1000-1250 volumes, give or take.

It's not hard to build an impressive collection when you're doing it over many years lol. My Magic The Gathering collection has been trimmed down significantly over the years and is still worth somewhere in the $5000 range. My game collection has also grown quite large.

If you are looking at starting a collection, its best to just let it happen naturally than to go out and try and buy your way into a huge collection from the start. Not only will you end up with a collection that actually means something to you (as you will be only really buying things you are reading and enjoying) but you also won't end up in a position where you feel burnt out because you feel you need to read all the manga you bought but your backlog just keeps growing.

328 on my Kindle and probably like 100 on my bookshelf. I have sold some that I don’t read anymore though (so that I can buy even more manga, haha.)

Robinne and I could most likely do This.

Been collecting from an early age on. Mostly French releases, sometimes German and English ones (Nisio/Baccano! Light Novels or "special releases" like Vertical's Gundam: The Origin, f.e - recently took a Picture of some LNs, Here's an older one from iirc last year) .

The French market usually covers everything important and beyond, so there is rarely a need to look elsewhere, though.

Buy stuff, or buy at least your favorites if you can afford it - Don't be lame.

MAL is a far cry from being my main literature site, that's why I won't be doing mere single chapter updates anymore. Manga- aka Baka-Updates + 2 French ones are miles better and more thorough/complete + less restricting. The latter are perfectly suited for Manga/Light Novel/Books collectors such as myself. Less stressful/tiring this way. -g-
